Time to mess up the kitchen

Yesterday was a bad day for people at Bandar Acheh in Indonesia because earthquake strike their area. And since there's so many people kept sending message saying not to go anywhere besides staying home, so after dinner, we headed back home.

Since the night still young, and both of you still very energetic, and i suddenly thought of making milo biscuit cake, so i told both of you to get ready with your apron and i have a secret assignment for both of you. In no time, both of you get ready with your apron and wait for me instruction.

As i don't have a rolling pin, so i gave each of them a water tumble to roll the biscuit. Each of them get 10 pcs of biscuit from me, 1 zip lock bag as well as 1 water tumble. I requested them to put the biscuit one by one into the zip lock back and roll it with the water tumble. See, the 2 little helper so focused working on their assigned task.

While they are working on their part, i am busy at the kitchen heating up the butter, mixing the milo and condensed milk. After a while, here's the final result from them. Both happily pose for daddy.

Now, it's my turn to work. I add the smashed biscuit into the mixture of butter, milo and condensed milk, stir for a while, cool it down, then pour it into a container to be refrigerated. As of this morning, the cake still a bit soft, as it's suppose to be harder a bit. Maybe my fridge is not cold enough?? LOL!

Dinner at Starview restaurant

Today, we had our dinner at Starview Restaurant, thanks to both ee-poh for paying the bill. It's the advance birthday celebration for the kids, as second ee-poh going back to Vietnam on the next day. (Eldest ee por is in colorful dress and second ee poh is in red dress.)

To my surprise, lil Kaitlyn wallop the shark fin soup without saying NO. This is her first time taking the soup and she didn't reject it AT ALL. ** No expensive no eat, duh! what a high maintenance daughter* As for Kelvin, he just loves shark fin soup and he actually ask for more. But we dare not overdose him with shark fin soup, need to keep his stomach for other food.

By the time we recalled that we hasn't take any pic, it's almost towards the end of the dinner. We had an enjoyable dinner and everyone entered the restaurant with empty stomach and leave the restaurant with FULL stomach.
Next, it's photo taking time. We get all kids to pose for us to take pic.

Where is our cartoon wall stickers??

I used to have some cartoon wall sticker in our room, until .....one weekend morning, after i refresh myself with a cooling bath, when i walked into the room, i see both kids was peeling the wall sticker off, and they started to stick the sticker to themselves.

Once, they like to put stickers all over their clothes, until sometimes when i check at my washing machine, i can see some stickers in it. But now, the new way of sticking stickers is not on their clothes, but...on their hair! LOL!

2 of them even pose and request me to take their pics. If you are me, what will you do? Will you angry at them for tearing down the wall stickers or have a good laugh together with them? I choose to have good laugh with them and it's fun seeing 2 of them being so creative. Wall stickers not necessary need to be on the wall, can be on the head as accessories also, LOL!

Morning at Youth Part

As promised on Saturday night, we brought you to Youth Park after breakfast. Luckily the weather is very cooling and nice for outdoor activity. Daddy and mummy introduce something new to you rather than letting you play with the slide, see saw, swing...all these u can get it from the playground nearby our house or in your school.As expected, you seems a bit worry when we ask you to climb up, you keep telling us you afraid will fall down. Daddy keep assuring you that he will stand behind to support you and mummy even threaten you by telling you that we are leaving if you do not try on this new game. ** mummy so bad huh** At the end, you did climb up and you call this jungle gym. BRAVO!

And mummy spotted another jungle gym and again, we ask you to try.After 2 challenging game for you, we let you run around and we walked to the public swimming pool before heading to the playground at the skating/cycling area. You were so excited seeing the pool but we told you the pool has too many people and it's not hygiene, so you are happy with our explanatio. So no more request from you for want to jump into the water. But, you do request mummy to let you play with the water from the fountain. And we let you touch the water for a while then proceed to the playground again.
You get to play with slides and we saw another jungle gym attached to the slide, so again, we asked you to climb and i guess could be this one attached to the slide, so happily, you climb on it.Oh...both daddy and son get trapped in the big cage, LOL!It's almost 12 noon and we need to drag you as you refuse to leave, We told you that we will bring you back to Youth Park again with Kaitlyn and happily, you follow us to the car. Phew!

Fun time

Today, we are suppose to bring Kelvin for a cycling fun with Evan and Kaitlyn for stroller walk while the 2 boys are doing their cycling. However, around 5pm, the sky turns dark and start to drizzle. So i checked with Angeline whether her area is raining too or not, and with a disappointed answer, yes, her area start drizzling. But, we will still proceed with plan B. Instead of letting the kids cycling outdoor, they will play indoor game.

We left my parents house around 615pm and the rain gets heavier and the traffic along the way from Minden Height to Tangjung Bunga is real bad. Slow traffic here and there. And i received a call from Angeline around 6:50pm telling me the rain is very heavy at Tanjung Bunga area.

We reached at Angeline's at 7pm, the rain still very heavy. We let the 2 boys played for a while in the house before heading for dinner. My little girl not in good mood as she wanted to play with my handphone and i refused to let her play, so she's making fuss and refuse to let others carry her. Angie's MIL carry her as soon as we reached their house, and my little girl greeted them with loud cry, i guess she must be scaring everyone away. And oh yeah, i forgot a fastastic part.....everytime i go visit Angeline, my kids will bring her some "present" aka stink bomb! When Kelvin still baby, everytime we visited Angie, he will poo-ed and for this time, Kaitlyn also follow her brother's style, she poo-ed and i need to change her in Angie's room. Sorry Angie, i think my kids love u tooooo much and they want to bring you some unforgettable present.

Ben also try to play with our little girl, and also, she greeted him with loud cry. And worst still, she refuse to let anyone carry her including her own daddy. She sticked to me. while the 2 boys playing with the toys, i feed Kaitlyn some of her porridge. Awhile later, we headed to Sumida for Japanese dinner! yummie!

Thank goodness, my little girl back to her cheekiness when we were in the car. she started to "play" with her brother, aka beating her brother. **slapped forehead** While waiting for our food to be served, the boys get to eat homemade macaroni and cheese from Angie. Kelvin told me he wanted to eat macaroni when we were buying KFC on Tuesday and i told him i will "try" to cook for him over the weekend, but now..ta daaaa, i got a chef to cook it for Kelvin. *Phew, what a relief, as i was cracking my head for so many days, thinking on how to cook for Kelvin** So what my little girl do when the 2 boys eating the homemade macaroni? She continue to have her porridge. Kaitlyn then spotted baby biscuit in my bag and she asked for it.

Finally, our food is here, and while we are enjoying our food, i let Kaitlyn had her baby biscuit because this is the only way to make her sit properly and this is the only way to let myself can have peaceful time to enjoy my meal, LOL! The whole dinner time quite smooth and i enjoy the food very much. Not sure what about the rest LOL!

After dinner, we went back to Angie's house and let the kids play for a short while. Kaitlyn spotted Evan's small jeep and she started to play with it. Later, she gives us a sign, "i am tired, mummy" by keep rubbing her eyes. Time to go home! Both of the kids fall asleep in the car on our way home.

After exactly a week, I received Daniel’s sms while we are doing our groceries at Tesco. He told me pics will be aviable in the afternoon.

Another sms came later of the day and yes, all pics are available for viewing now. In total, we took 133 pics. And I love ALL of them. Geez, I am going to have hard time to choose 36 pics out of so many.

2 days later I received a sms message from Daniel telling me he will upload some pics into his website by tonite. For the whole day, I can’t wait and keep checking at the web for the sneak peak. 9pm, nothing yet; 10pm nothing yet; and finally when I wake up to burn midnite oil aka finish up my unfinished job, I check the web again around 1am, yippie, our pic is out!

Family photo shooting

Has been long I want to have a family photo shooting session. The last time we had our family photo taken was during Kelvin’s photo shooting at U Smile studio. At that time, I am at 4 months pregnant, little Kaitlyn still hiding shyly in my stomach.

Thanks for Ern mummy for introducing Daniel to me. Me and Daniel planned for the photo shooting session almost a month, and after 2 times of postponding the photo session, finally we have it on 9th Aug 2009 at E&O hotel. We get one day free stay from the E&O Heritage club membership.

It rains cats and dog on the free stay day. I’m so worry that the rain will not stop and we are unable to take outdoor photo. We reached the hotel at around 330pm, and the photo shooting session is at 4pm. After check in, we rest and play in the room for a while before Daniel and friend meet up with us. We started with indoor photo shooting in the room and hoping the rain will stop soon. We started the photo shooting with Kelvin then Kaitlyn and lastly with our family photo. Luckily the rain stop around 430pm. So we proceed for outdoor photo shooting.At first I thought it will be very challenging to take Kaitlyn’s photo, however, thing turn to be the other way round. It’s so easy to take Kaitlyn’s pic and it’s so challenging to take Kelvin’s pic. Luckily Daniel is quite patient with Kelvin. He kept running around with his camera to take the best shoot of Kelvin. As for Kaitlyn, less run around because we put her in stroller and Daniel just need to take her best shoots.

The photo session last for 1 hr plus and the 2 kids seems to be tired and we ended the session. Daniel told me all pics will be available for viewing by next Sunday. Can’t wait to see all the pics.

A day with mummy

Today, Kelvin not feeling well, as so, i took emergency leaves and stay at home with the 2 kids. The initial plan is, to send Kaitlyn to school after she wakes up from sleep. However, things not always turn out as we plan...at the end when we went to pick up both kids lunch from the school, Kelvin decided to go to school and end up we let Kaitlyn stay at home with us, LOL! The one suppose to off from school goes to school and the one suppose go to school doesn't go.

Kaitlyn wake up from her afternoon nap and since i am so free, so i took let her sit on the floor with lots of toyes and cushions surrounding her (to support her just in case she decided to lean backward) Since she is so busy playing and i took the opportunity to take her pic again. And at the same time tidy up her hair and create a small coconut tree look at her hair.

I am Bumblebee

Recently, Kelvin goes crazy with transformer, especially Bumblebee. I managed to get him one transformer shirt and pant from Queensbay Mall and he's so happy and excited with it.

When i asked him to pose for the photo shooting, he told me he is bumbleebee! you see, how cheeky he is ! He is growing up day by day...I'm gonna miss his cheekiness when he grows up!

My naughty boy

Out of sudden,you brought me the small Dutch Lady pouch and asked me to put it over your waist for you. And i kept laughing at you as the pouch is so small..and ah Kong got you another waist pouch and put it on for you. And guess what...you walk all over the house and asked everyone " you want barli som?"

And i was like "huh? what are you doing?"

and suddenly, something enlighten me and i asked you, "do you go to coffee shop recently?"

and you told me " the coffee shop jie jie do like this" and you start to look for something from your waist pouch and you handed me a paper and tell me "give you your money"

BINGO!!!

I am right! You are imitating what those coffee shop people. LOL!

You showed me a serious face when i take this pic. You are on your way delivering Kaitlyn's milk to her. Poor Kaitlyn is crying for milk yet you still stop for a while in order for mummy to take this pic.

You are really a very observance, thus, whenever we do anything or say anything in front of you, we need to think twice before we do it. Else the next moment, you will follow what we did. Be it good or bad, right or wrong.

This is you, wearing the big and small pouch and riding your bicycle all around in the house. You told us that you are delivering food to each of us. LOL! It's really fun to play with you as you will give us different surprise everyday!

D Monte Family Day

Today is D Monte’s family day and it’s Kelvin second time attending the family day, whereas it’s Kaitlyn’s first Family day. We wake up as usual, after getting all of ourselves ready, we heard to Youth Park. Along the way, Kelvin keep asking where Youth Park is, are we there yet.

Finally, we reached Youth Park around 9:30am. It’s so crowded but luckily we able to find a place near to the place where the family day event being held. Kaitlyn fall asleep on the way to Youth Park and I’m so worry that I may wake her up when I transfer her from my arm to the stroller, however, my little sweetie pie enjoy her sleep so well, phew!

We were greeted by Ms Goh and Uncle James. Kelvin met few of his classmates at the event and he started to play with them. He even brings Hannah for a short walk. *wink*wink* For this year, there isn’t any fish pond for the kids to do fishing, a bit disappointed. Actually it’s fun seeing the elder kids fishing in the pond, maybe I should remind the principle to have the fish pond back as part of the activities during the family day. Or maybe, they can plan a game between the kid and parents.

Even though the weather is quite good, It rain early in the morning, and luckily the rain stop before the event start, however.the weather still a bit humid. But then, the 2 kids of mine doesn’t seems get annoyed by the wether. The elder one enjoy running around with friends and the youngest one enjoy being carried by people all around the place. We spend around 1hr at the event and decided to leave the place.

The little bread boy

You told us that you are hungry AFTER DINNER! And you ask for bread with margarine. In fact, you want to eat the margarine more than the bread. At the same time, you refuse to let any of us prepare the bread for you, you insist to us "Kelvin do it!". So we let you mess up with the bread and margarine, however, we need to keep an eye on you to make sure you will spread the margarine on the bread and not directly into your mouth.You enjoy the bread that prepared by yourself and yummie! So next time you can prepare bread for mummy to bring to work.

Opps...how should i answer

Everytime after Kelvin poo poo, we will wash his bum bum with water. While we were in my parents house, Kelvin looked for daddy ..........

Kelvin: where is daddy?
Ah Ma : daddy is in toilet, he poo poo
Kelvin: daddy poo poo, who wash daddy’s bum bum?
Ah Ma : **oopps, doesn't know how to answer** daddy will wash him bum bum himself

Whem mom told me her conversation with Kelvin, both of us had good laugh over it.

Our morning at Youth Park

Has been a decade we didn't go for morning exercise at the park. Previously, we used to go to the park nearby our housing area, however, ever since mummy went into third trimester of pregnancy, we stop going to the park in the weekend morning. And furthermore, after mei mei is born, we even no opportunity to spen our morning at the park, partly due to mei mei is too small and we try not to bring her out too often.

It’s a sunny Sunday, so we decided to bring both of you to Youth Park for a walk. We wake up around 8:30am, get ourselves bath and wait for ah kong and ah ma to pick us up.
Along the way, we stopped by to buy 2 packets of fried noodle as all of us yet to have our breakfast. We reached Youth ark around 10am and the place still very crowded.

We brought along the bicycle so that Kelvin can ride the bicycle at the skating area and for Kaitlyn, she needs to sit in her stroller. Kaitlyn seems a bit uneasy as this is her first time staying under hot sun directly. But very fast, she starts to enjoy the fresh air. Kelvin initially very excited cycling around but later he noticed the playground and he requested us to bring him over to play the swing, slides, etc.

We had our breakfast, a bit sounds like picnic, except we do put a big mattress on the grass, no homemade sandwiches, but we do brought along 2 packets of fried noodles. 1 for me and hubb and 1 for dad and mom. Probably for next time, I can consider wake up earlier to prepare sandwiches for everyone huh! To my surprise, Kelvin enjoys the fried noodle very much and keep ask for more. Maybe he spends too much energy cycling. As for Kaitlyn, I brought along expressed breast milk.

After brunch, we continue to let Kelvin play for short while. Kaitlyn started to show sign of sleepy so dad carry her and let her sleep in his arm. This little girl sleep so soundly in her ah kong’s arm. We decided to make a move at 11:45am and headed for lunch.

My little helper

Whenever you are at home with us, we are not allow to sweep or mop the floor. Why? Because you will come and disturb us. You are too helpful and you will grad the broom or mop from us and ask us to sit down while you take over the role from us.

Tonight, as usual, when mummy busy sweeping the car porch, you volunteer to help me. You took away the broom from me and even ask me to go inside the house, *slap forehead* You are such a sweetie boy! Muah muah...mummy loveeeeeeee you soooooooo much!

Your many cute faces 你可爱的脸

I took these pics in Oct2007and again...i took your many faces pic in Jan09. You seems able to show more different facial expression than before. You like to show mummy with all of your funny faces. And here are different type of faces that you showed mummy while we were on our way to QBM for CNY gathering with mummy's ex-colleagues.
I like seeing you with cheeky face. In fact, daddy and mummy "trained you up" with this cheeky face expression since you were around 15 months old. And the rest of the faces, you picked it up along the way through your observation and also from the playgroup activities in the nursery.

It's tea time!

Kelvin and Kaitlyn's nursery off for 3 days and both of them back to school on 4th day of CNY. Since me and my mom are members of The Heritage club from E&O hotel, and we have complimentary vouchers for Afternoon tea at 1895.

Since Kelvin is in school, so i asked hubb to pick up Kelvin from school and meet me, Kaitlyn,my parents and second aunt went to E&O. Before everything start, my dear little girl decided to make some noise to get everyone's attention! *slapped forehead* She decided to scream out of her lung, telling us that she wants to have her afternoon milk too! So quickly i warm up her milk and feed her, but she refused to take it, so poor grandma has to bring her out from 1895 and bring her walk around outside 1895 so that she wont disturb others enjoying their afternoon tea. Phew, luckily after a while, she decided to cooperate with us and goes to her lala-land and enjoy her sleep in her baby basket.

We started enjoying our peaceful tea and afternoon snack while waiting for Kelvin and hubb to join us. After a while, here come this little boy, running into 1895 restaurant and greet me, "mummy, i am here!". 1895 is sort of more "high class" restaurant in E&O, everyone there talk softly, except for us, LOL! First, it started with Kaitlyn's crying noise and then follow by Kelvin's cheerful sound. With this little one around, how can you talk softly. He started to run around and greet all the waiters and waitress in the restaurant, ask us to bring him out as he want to see the sea, want to see the canon! Yes, he still remember there is canon at the promenade area. He has been there for few occasion - Kaitlyn's full moon and also lunch with family members. So...the morale of the story is, do not lie to the kid, they have better memory than us! LOL!

So, ah kong quickly finish his snack and bring his precious grandson out to the promenade area. I quickly enjoy my scone and meet the grandpa and grandson out there. And so coincident, i saw there is lots of trishaw parked outside of the grandball room entrace of the hotel and i quickly grab the chance to introduce trishaw to Kelvin and let him sit on it. My grandma always told me that she used to bring me along with trishaw and nowadays our kid hardly, or never will have chance to sit on trishaw, so how could i miss this golden opportunity to let Kelvin sit on it. He looks a bit nervous when i put him on it, haha!
After that, as usual, a wild running at promenade area and again he asked for photo with his this big big canon! A short wild running and playing at the promenade area and then we gotta pull this guy back, else he will keep running wild until sunset and sunrise again!

We have one free stay at the hotel, and still can't decide when we want to use it, i guess Kelvin will be the most happy person if we claim for the free stay, he will gets to run non stop at the promenade area then.

It's bath time

You love to have your bath very very much, ever since you are baby. You will trick us by telling us you are dirty and need bath , bla bla....and the time you spend in taking your bath will be easily 10 mins. You will soak in the bath tub playing with the small pail, shampoo bottle, toothbrush, or anything that it's can be played in water.
