Great time at the park

Has been long never bring the kids to Youth Park, and last Saturday we make a trip to the park in the morning. When i told the kids about the plan, initially not much excitement from their face because they thought we are going to the park nearby our house, however, as soon as i told them that we are going to Youth Park, both of them jump up and cheers.

It's a sunny Saturday morning, we wake up pretty early, around 8:30am, and we reached the park around 930am. And it's still quite crowded. We parked the car near the badminton court so i decided to give a try, bring the kids hike a bit ....

The excited boy act like tour guide, walk in front of usLittle girl also very excited until a passby aunty told us not to let the kid walk alone as the money may attack them. So, the girl starts to show her uneasy lookWe came down to the playground from the other exit and the kids face immediately turn to happy face, no more worry in monkey's attack. Kaitlyn finally able to slide without much fear, but she still choose those not so steep slide.Her all time favorite. Rocking front, rocking back...rocking all the wayKelvin loves climbing activities but he still have fear and want us to standby behind him, in case he lost balance. Well, of course, we also dare not let him do the climbing all by himself. And now...i can swing...swing low...swing high.....yohoo!

The last activities that we had before heading home is.......kicking ball!!!! Both kids enjoying chasing after the ball. I am so happy seeing the kids enjoying themselves so much!

Feeling confuse

Today, when i read the Preschooler progress from Baby Center, suddenly i feel lost. My girl actually now is at her three year, fifth month age, but all the while i kept push her to be a four years old kid. When i read flash card to her, if she can't recognize the word on the next 2 days, i will get upset and will make her kept repeating the word few times. And i kept want her to sit down and start doing the writing and i even start making her to do simple mathematics matching activities.

Of all, she loves the writing and simple mathematics matching activities except recognizing word. She refuse to really remember the word, but one thing that she really amaze me is, eventhough she can't recognize the word, but she can remember the simple sentence in her story book, word by word. For those who doesn't know her well will thought that she can read by herself , LOL!

Shall i slow down a bit and let her grow at her own pace.......every night, when i see her fall asleep, i feel so guilty for not able to spend much of my time with her, and feel guilty and sorry for kept pushing at her academy. Girl, hope you will understand mummy and wont angry at me.

This morning when i get my girl ready to work, suddenly realized that the dress she used to wear last year is getting shorter. And only i realized that she actually grow up, not a small girl anymore. Shame on me that i don't have lots of write up on her growing progress.....

It time for me to start writing and keep my memories in word....

My Taekwondo boy

Kelvin joined the ROY Taekwondo class back in Jun 2011,
Attending his first color belt exam on 11th Dec,
And, YES...he's getting his yellow belt on 18th Dec 2011.
Good job, boy! Well done! Keep it up!

My best mother's day gift

Today,in the Mother's Day party, one of the event is, my son and his classmates present a Chinese poem to all mummies :-

Even though my boy can't pronounce it perfectly, but i feel so proud of him. I never expect he can remember the whole thing. Kelvin, BRAVO!! Mummy so proud of you!

But....i am not a good mummy as i can't sew well.

He is such a sweet boy!

When we almost ready to go out for our late breakfast early lunch at Gurney Plaza, Kelvin insisted that he wants to bring along his sling bag. I told him NOPE, but he insisted, so in order not to create any unnecessary unhappiness between me and him, so i agree to let him bring along his bag but with the condition, he needs to bring it himself, not me! I didn't even check what is inside his bag, as i trust my little boy, he wont bring rubbish in his bag, LOL!

We reached Gurney around 1030am, and the place that we want to go for our meal is not ready until 11am. So we let the kids run around at the ground floor and they found out there's a small amusement center right in front of the BBQ Plaza. At first, they just explore each of the machines, and after one round, i guess they found out what they want, so Kelvin start to ask for money to buy the tokens. Not every time we will make his wish come true, so this time we rejected his request. And guess what, he told us, "no worry, i got money!" and i was like "huh?" Guess what, he transferred the money in his piggy bank into a small pencil casing. Both me and hub speechless, so i only let him get 2 tokens for 1 game.

When we headed to the restaurant, Kelvin gave us another surprise. He took out a bib from his bag by telling us this is for Kaitlyn. She worry that Kaitlyn will dirty her pretty dress, so he insisted that she needs to use bib.

He is such a sweet boy. He gave me 2 surprises just within 1 hr time. :)
