My poor little girl down with mild food poisoning

As usual, i wont be picking up the kids from school on Thursday. Was busy at the kitchen when the kids came home, both got up for their own shower cum water play time after school. Out of the blue, my girl told me she felt cold after shower, actually it's first sign of her not feeling well as she's not fancy with hot water, and always prefer to shower with cold water. Thus, she will never complain cold after shower. But, the careless mummy didn't get the first hint.

After dinner, she told us she felt cold and where should she stand to keep herself warm. Oops....luckily daddy is alert enough and quickly check at her forehead. Actually, daddy also missed the first hint when he felt her little hand a bit at warm side when he picked her up. Quickly, we let her take half of the paracetamol tablet.

The poor little girl so worry about her school homework and insisted to finish the homework. However, she dozed off in front of her small table. LOL!

I hate it very much when the kids down with fever....this means, i can't sleep peacefully at night. Need to keep waking up to check at them. We fed her paracetamol every 4 hourly. She vomited two times, once yesterday night and the other time was this morning. Poor girl.

Since she looks tired and kinda weak, so we decided to keep her at home. After few round of medication, she seems better and the vomit seems under control. Wish she will recover soon as next week will be her first school exam . Get well soon, darling !

Battle with Stomach Flu ~ It's almost coming to the end

After fighting with stomach flu for close to 1 week, to be exact, 6 days, it's finally almost coming to the end. Yesterday the whole day, there isn't any vomit or diarrhea reported by the school teacher, and also no vomit or diarrhea at home. But yet, i still dare not say it's completely ok, as i still prefer to put you under observation. In fact, you stated to have back your regular intake of milk powder at school. You has been asking for milk in the past few days, and we always give you the standard answer, "No, you can only drink soya bean milk"

As soon as you back from school, you asked for vitagen. We has been saying big NO NO to you for the past few days when you are fighting with stomach flu. And finally, on last night, we let you enjoy it.

After a while, you requested for fruit. You must be missing all your favorite fruits so much.
K: mummy, can i have fruit?
M: **hesitate for a while** Yes, sure.
K: Then, can i eat strawberry?
M: ** oops** oh, sweetie, nope, u can't take strawberry yet
K: mummy, what about orange, i see there is so many orange in the fridge.
M: oh, sweetie, u can't eat orange either. What about apple, u can take apple.
K: ok, anything also can. ** since your two requests being rejected, so you just agree with what i suggested**

So happily you agree to go with apple.

And it's not the end of the story yet, by 10pm, you said that you are hungry. So, what to do?? Since daddy and keke also feeling hungry, so we went out for light supper at the koay teow thng shop outside of our house. After food, i asked you to sleep and your respond is "sleep without milk?" My gosh, you just had your bee hoon soup, and you still need milk. LOL! Obviously, your are on the way of recovering and claiming back all your appetite. In order not to disappoint you, i make a small cup of milk for you and happily you went to bed after the milk.

Stomach flu, Day #3

Last night was a good night for all of us, no fuss from you when we wake you up 2 times for medicine. And this morning you wake up around 7:30am while all of us still in our sweet dream. Thought everything is ok, however, you throw out again while we are out for breakfast. Sigh...poor girl. Again, you told us that you are hungry and want to eat wan tan mee. Oh, a big NO NO, and mummy tried to persuade you to go for porridge. Luckily you are such a good girl, you agree to have porridge but, you told me that i MUST buy you wan tan mee when you fully recover.

Breakfast settled. Then we went to QBM after breakfast as keke is having his weekly Taekwondo class there. Another headache, where to go for lunch after keke's class?? Think think think...where can we have porridge...think think think..tadaaaaa, the nearby 上海鼎 restaurant. You enjoy the porridge very much and keke ordered honey lemon and you insisted that you want to have few sip. At first, we dont allow you to have, but you kept insist. So at last, i let you try some and deep in my heart keep pray that you wont have stomach pain. True enough, while daddy paying the bill, you told me that you have stomach upset. Luckily our house is nearby and as soon as we reached home, you rushed to toilet to release yourself.

And tonight, where to go for dinner? Both you and keke said want to go back to De Happy seafood restaurant for teochew porridge. Hope there will be no more vomit from you after tonight.

Unwelcome guest - Stomach flu. Day #1 and #2

While picking up keke at the school on Friday, i received a call from your kindy teacher saying that you had sudden fever. I was shocked hearing that as in the morning when i dropped you to school, you seems ok.Thus, when she asked whether can she give you a dose of fever medicine or not, i told teacher, "nope, it's ok, i will pick her up shortly" Deep in my heart, i hope that you are not having stomach flu, but my instinct told me that it's high chance that you are attacked by stomach flu.

According to school teacher, you throw out twice in the school, first time is after afternoon nap and second time is before dinner. Since you are not havving good appetitie after that, so your dinner is just 2 pieces of biscuit. You seems a bit not so active when i picked you up, i guess probably you feel tired after vomit.

You didn't take anything while we went out for dinner, you only drink one glass of barley and awhile later you complained that stomach not feeling well. Quickly, we went home, but instead of poo, you vomited out the barley that you had during dinner. After a while, you asked for biscuit, and with heavy heart, we have to give you since you are not having any food since 3pm and you in fact vomited 3 times, your stomach must be very empty. Luckily no vomit after that.

Thought that everything is over as you asked for pan mee as lunch on Saturday. however, on our way to QBM for movie, you vomited in the car. Sigh. Means, it's not over though, there is still some toxic in your stomach that need to clear out. Again, after vomit, you said you are ok. So, we still proceed for our movie plan.

Everything seems ok until 5:20pm. On our way out to drop keke for his swimming class , you vomited in the car. We turned back home and clean you up as well as cleaning the car. Thought everything is over, but again, i am wrong. After a while, you throut out again in the car, but this time i am well prepared, i quickly gave you a plastic bag and guess what...i saw some yellowish fluid coming out from your mouth, and without second doubt, we bring you to see doctor. As Saturday is off day for Adventist hospital, so we need to go to Emergency Room and luckily Dr Khaw already there treating other patients thus we just need to wait for a while for our turn.

When Dr Khaw checked at you, and as soon as he heard mummy saying there is yellowish fluid out from your mouth, he said that fluid coming from gallbladder. Oh no....meaning the infection is very very bad. As both doctor and us do not wish to go for admission, so we decided to have the treatment at home. However, doctor recommended that you need to have one injection to stop the vomit. As a result, we have many types of medicine for you:-

• Injection to stop the vomit
• Motilium
• Probiotic
• Unasyn antibiotic
• Paracetamol
• ORS

 Gosh, all of us has concern, how to let you take so many medicine at once, surely you will throw out all the medicine. Thus, the recommendation is, give you the medicine separately with the interval of 30 minutes. And the only food that you can take during this period is white bread and porridge. After the painful injection, you making noise saying you are hungry, which is good sign as you didn't ask for food almost 2 days. Suddenly, i am out of idea where to eat and after a while, this place finally come to my mind, De Happy seafood restaurant as they serve teochew porridge.
Wow, you have a real good appetite, you ate 1.5 bowls of PLAIN porridge. Daddy and mummy a bit hesitate to let you eat so much, but seeing you eating the plain porridge happily, so we keep pray that no vomit after that. Phew....everything ok, no vomit after the porridge.

Before we call off the night, mummy told you that we will be waking you up middle of the night for fever medicine. Need to pre-alert you so that you wont be cranky at middle of the night while we wake you up.

2 sweeties lost in battle

Lost in battle…Kelvin is sick and recovering, and I worry that Kaitlyn will fall sick too as both of them like to play with one another, kiss each other and now at night they even want to sleep together. Sleep together, some more need to sleep very close to each others.

So at the end, little Kaitlyn lost in battle and down with running nose and mild fever. Feeding her medicine is tough than rock climbing (oops..a bit exaggerate). We need 2 person to do the medicine feeding job, one hold her tight and the other pump the medicine into her mouth. And sometimes she will force herself to throw out, but sometimes she will just swallow it.

Sweetie pies, mummy hope both of you will recover fast as aunty Sharon is visiting us this weekend and furthermore, we will be attending uncle Barney’s baby full moon party on this Sunday!

Little princess is sick

Saturday morning, you wake up with a bit heaty feel. We continue to give you your normal morning bath as usual. However, your body gets warmer after 1 hour. So to play safe, we started to give you PCM. You don't seems to get bothered by the fever but you HATE taking medicine.

Daddy and mummy need to force the medicine into your mouth evry 4 hourly and sometimes you will force yourself to throw out. So every time, after we feed you medicine, we will pray that you will not throw out the medicine and food.

The whole of Saturday seems like a normal Saturday for you. The only additional event is medicine feeding session! LOL! And at night, while you are sleeping, it's easier to feed you medicine as you will not fight as aggressive as in the day time. Probably you want to sleep, so you let us do whtever we want. With just 2 or 3 times, daddy able to feed all the medicine into your mouth, but of course with some fighting from you.

On Sunday, the fever subsided, but your body still a bit warm, so we continue to feed you PCM, but this time, it's not 4 hourly. We started to drag it to 6 hourly. Still a active and cheeky girl, and gosh, everytime when you are heaty, you will develop rashes over your face. And one thing that mummy notice is, when ke ke is sick, he will have double eye lids, whereas for you, when you are sick, your double eye lids will go away and left you with single eye lid. LOL!

Suspect you are teeting, as you drool a lot recently. Also, you keep biting your own teeth. Speedy recovery, sweetie, so that we can go swimming! You swimsuit still hang in the closet without any opening ceremony from you.** Same for ke ke's swimsuit. **

Poor Small KC

Today you wake up with puffy eyes and we thought you may gets infected by kerker’s conjunctivitis. So we just apply the eye drop for you hoping it will clear the redness. However, the puffy doessn’t get subside.

At night, when mummy’s friend saw you, her first reaction was “how come her eyes swollen”, then I start to get worry. But I still assume you may gets conjunctivitis from kerker.

Oh no!! My 2 KCs are sick!

Sigh, I guess it’s mega sales season, so everything come in package! At first, it’s Kelvin has “red eyes” and I thought it’s normal eye infection, so I doesn’t take it seriously. And who knows, the red eyes at the end become swollen eyes. So we brought him to see doc, and doc confirmed that he is having conjunctivitis. It has been 2 weeks and the eye still puffy look.

We went to see Dr Pong for 2 times, and during the last visit, Dr Pong advise us to bring Kelvin see eye specialist as he worry there might have foreign object in his eyes and causes the swelling. This make us started to worry and wonder whether Kelvin is really having conjunctivitis or he accidentally injured his eyes. I asked him whether did he or his friend poke his eyes, and he told me “nope”. Since I am off on Monday, so I brought him to see eye specialist. Waited for 2 hrs plus then only we get to see the doc for less than 10 mins. And eye specialist also confirmed that it’s conjunctivitis and nothing wrong with the eyes. Feel so relieve to know that.

Today, Kelvin’s eye not as puffy as before and teacher Margaret assured me that the other friend of him also has puffy eyes after the conjunctivitis. So hopefully Kelvin will recover as soon as possible and I misses his cheeky look!

Few days later, we found that Kaitlyn a bit heaty, and on the same night, ms fever come to visit her. DUH! So for the whole nite, both me and hub has sleepless night. I keep waking up to check on her body temperature and hub need to prepare fever medicine for us every 4 hourly. The fever last for 3 days then only say bye bye to Kaitlyn.

After the fever subsided, roseola come to visit her. DUH! Red patches spurting out on the face, neck and body. At first, I though it was german measles and after seeing confirmation from doc , big and small J’s mummy, Ern’s mummy, it was only the effect of after fever. Thanks to big and small J’s mummy, Ern’s mummy’s morale support, else I will like ants on fire, running around for no reason.

Today, Kaitlyn’s rashes seems lesser, hopefully she will back to her pretty look as soon as possible.

Finally....all ok - part 7

Dr Pong came around 8:30am and good news!! He told us your lung ALL CLEAR! What a big relief. But, he still want us to let you use Ventolin for another few days until your cough gone away, as for Seretide, you will need to use it for another 2 weeks. And you will need to back for follow up check up next Tuesday to make sure the viral all gone with the wind. You will need to use the Seretide as prevention for asthma, and Dr Pong will re-assess your condition from time to time.

However, Dr Pong want to check on you again before he goes for lunch to make sure everything ok. So we waited for him until 1 pm. As soon as Dr Pong confirm we can discharge, you were so happy when we tell you "we are going home" You pull your bag along the walkway and wave bye bye to everyone. **slapped forehead**

I am happy that despite you are sick, but you still remain active and tough. Good boy!

What happen to my little prince-part6

Daddy and mummy work half day today and pick both you and Kaitlyn around 3:30pm and headed to hospital. Ah ma also come to help up.

Guess what, Dr Pong told us that your lung is better than the day before!! What a big relief. For the whole night, mummy keep worry that you may need to have intravenous catheter (IV), and you will cry and scream like crazy when the doc do it for you because your hand quite puffy and doc will have difficulty to find your vein. Once, mummy look at the doc doing IV on you and i almost want to push the doc away when you keep crying and call out mummy in pain! Dr Pong said the Seretide and Ventolin work on you and he wants us to keep using it for you as preventive medicine. He told me you are showing asthma sympton and he further assure me this is nothing serious as his youngest kid also has asthma and with proper prevention treatment, this will go away. But, if we do not go on treatment, then it will become the real asthma. Mummy also ask Dr Pong to check on Kaitlyn to make sure she is ok since she's having cough too. Luckily Kaitlyn's lung is clear. what a relief!

Mummy checked with Dr Pong if we admit you and let you go on nebulizer, will this help to speed up the recovery,and the answer is YES. So since daddy and mummy had the worst preperation after last night doctor visit, so we decided to let you admit for a day. Dr Pong told us there is lots of cases on kid having bad cough and need nebulizer for these few weeks due to bad weather. Those kids with sensitive airway will fall sick.

We wanted to get a provate room, but no luck. So we need to get a twin sharing room. You don't look like a person who admit to hospital, you look like a person check in to hotel for holiday. As soon as we brought you up to the room and as soon as you see the baby cot, you asked us to let you in.
K: bring me into the "cage"
You called it the cage because the baby cot has rail for all the 4 sides. And you even tell us that you are a wolf staying in the cage. **slapped forehead**

Ah Kong came to the hospital to meet up with us and he needs to pick up ah ma and Kaitlyn. Mummy doesn't let Kaitlyn come up to the ward as i afraid there could be lots of bacterias in the ward, so ah kong and ah ma take turn to take care her at the hospital reception area while one of them come to see you in the room.

You were on nebulizer every 4 hrs, regardless midnight. You cried for a while when the nurse wake you up middle of the nite for nebulizer. But luckily you quite corporate.

What happen to my little prince-part5

Dr Pong not happy with your progress. He said the infection is getting worst compare to last Sunday and he suggested go for nebulizer and after that, he will re-examine your lung.

When you are having the nebulizer, mummy need to find way to trick you, else you will keep turning your head here and there, so what did mummy tell you?
1. This is the mask that fogging uncle use when they do fogging. This able to keep you concentrate for a short while then later you strat want to play with the equipment.
2. Suddenly, something strike my mind ..TRANSFORMER!! I quickly told you this is the mask that transformer had on the face, we asked the nurse to let you hold it yourself. And happily you hold it.

The nebulizer doesn't help much and in fact you have wheezing sound. Dr Pong even let mummy listen to your breathing using stethoscope, and i hear wheezing sound. My poor boy, what happen to you. You didn't have severe cough, you only have cough at night and morning when you wake up. Dr Pong told us that this is caused by virus infection to the lung. And he wants us to admit you immediately. Both me and daddy doesn't prepare for admission and mummy very very reluctant to admit you immediately. I told Dr Pong that i will bring you back to hospital for admission on Wednesday and he is ok with the plan but, he wants me to let you have home treatment on Tuesday night. He kept reminding us that if we are seeing you have any breathing difficulty at midnite, he wants us to bring you back to hospital immediately. He prescribe Seretide and Ventolin, we need to give this to you 4 hrly.

We left hospital with heavy heart and both daddy and mummy prepared for the worst, which is need to admit you on the next day.

Luckily you don't seems to have any fuss when we use Seretide and Ventolin to you through aerochamber.

What happen to my little prince-part4

You refuse to wake up and you told mummy you are not feeling well and requested me to stay at home with you. Even though mummy doesn't have much leave but how can i reject you when you are not feeling well. So i took a day off and requested Ah Ma to come over to help up.

Since mummy need to get some reports done on Monday, so i told you not to disturb me while i rushing for thing done. You well behave and you play with your toys beside me. I guess Kaitlyn sense that you are not going to school and mummy not going to work, so she also laze on the bed and sleep until 8-ish. Usually she will wake up latest by 8am. Daddy went to work when Ah Ma come over to help up.

Ah ma brought you out to buy breakfast and you told Ah Ma you want barli sohm, chee cheong fun and egg! So happily, ah ma bought for you. You took a bit of everything and you told us you are full. Well again, at least you eat something.

I guess you are too boring to stay at home because mummy asked you not to go disturb Kaitlyn, cannot disturb mummy, cannot run around, cannot talk too loud as you may wake Kaitlyn up...soooo many cannot...so when we drop by the school to pick up lunch for Kaitlyn, you decided to go to school. Teacher Margaret greeted us and as soon as you see her, you hold on her hand and wave to mummy. **slapped forehead** And mummy keep asking whether you want to stay in the school and you told me YES. Mummy leave you at school and go back with Kaitlyn.

And when teacher Margaret offer you lunch, you took it happily. DUH! When mummy offer you breakfast, you gave me all sorts of excuses. According to teacher Margaret, you finish 3/4 of your lunch and whole bowl of porridge during dinner time.

At night, no more vomit. A good sign. And we will back to see Dr Pong again on tomorrow.

What happen to my little prince-part 3

You don't have good appetite at all, but you do eat a little bit.

You wake up from afternoon nap with a bit heaty feel, so mummy gave you some paracetamol and we decided to bring you see doc at night. But, you still remain very active even though you don't eat much, wonder where you get all the energy.

Luckily Dr Pong has night clinic on Sunday, and since we don't make any prior appointment, so mummy called up and inform the nurse that we are going to see Dr Pong and request them to get your medical card ready. We reached the clinic around 820pm, and luckily not many patients. We waited for about 10 mins.

When Dr Pong checked on you, he listed to your chest and back for 2 times and his face look very serious and worry. My heart really sank when i see Dr Pong re-examine your chest and back for second time. Usually, he will do it once only. He told me he suspected pneumonia or bronchitis as your breathing sound is not clear. And he suggested to have lung x-ray. So what to do, of course follow his suggestion and we went for x-ray. Dr Pong keep explaining to me about these and keep assuring me you will be ok, i guess my face must be very confuse and worry at that time when he suggest X-Ray. What are you busy with while daddy mummy talking with Dr Pong? You were busy walking around in his clinic, playing all the toys in the clinic.

We are able to get the x-ray result immediately and it's the result that we HATE the most! Your left lung has some white area which means there's infection. Dr Pong prescribe you antibiotic~zitrhomax and request us to bring you back for check up next Tuesday. Keep my fingers crossed for all the best!

What happen to my little prince-part2

Today, as usual, we went to Hutton lane for daddy's favourite koay teow soup, but too bad, they are closed. So since we were at town area, so we went to Macalister road , Hong Kong kopi tiam for breakfast as mummy can had dim sum whereas daddy can had hokkien mee.

You are a bit cranky and refuse to eat anything. It's not a good sign at all! Since no matter how we coax you, you refuse to eat, so we give up. However, we are not that cruel, we drop by Continental Bakery to get you sausage bun after our breakfast. You ate 3/4 of the sausage and told me you are full. Well, at least you ate something. After that, for whole day, you only rely on your formula milk to keep you full.

For dinner, as usual, every Saturday we will have our dinner with Goh family. So since today Uncle James not at home, so daddy drive everyone out. And where to go?? Of course your favourite place, Queensbay Mall. You told me you want to have toufu and egg, so again, where? Canton-i! At least you ask for something to eat.

You ate the egg and 2 slices of toufu. After that, you walked around in the mall for a while before we headed back. Everything looks ok! Until....

At night, after your milk, you started to cough then throw out...Mummy HATE this so much. I am ok to clean up the mess, i just HATE to see you throw out becuase this shows something wrong with you. Daddy and mummy keep asking you whether you are ok or not while we were cleaning up the mess. And you told me the egg make you sick. Oh no!!!

Luckily you only throw out once then able to sleep after that. Will need to keep monitoring you.

What happen to my little prince-part 1

Your appetite on Thursday night was superb. You had dinner with us and you finish up the rice with egg.

Today, around 5pm, teacher Margaret called mummy and inform me that you throw out your dinner. Oh no, not a good sign...Whenever you throw out, means something wrong with you. So quickly, mummy inform daddy and we quickly wrap up our work and headed to the school.

When we reached the school, you greeted us with a smile. One thing good about you is, no matter how sick you are, you will still very active and have a minimum smile on your face. Teacher told me you were ok with lunch and your milk before and after nap, you only throw out after dinner. Mummy keep asking you whether are you ok or not and you keep telling me "I AM OK!".

At night, when mummy chat with you,
M: Kelvin, why you throw out the dinner?
K: Because i don't like the porridge.
M: No boy, when you don't like the porridge, you should inform the teacher, you shouldn't force yourself to throw out, ok?
K: OK

well, since you say so, so mummy thought it's all over....

Running nose

Today you wake up with blocked nose, without any hesitation, mummy decided to bring you see doc.

After Dr Khaw examined you, he prescribed nose drop ~ Iliadin for you, max of 3 times a day, and one drop each time. Mummy hate using nose drop as everytime when i need to put the nose drop for kor kor, both mummy and kor kor will struggle with one another. But this is the only way to make your nose better, so no choice. You quite coorperate with mummy when i use the nose drop on you, phew! Good girl! Hope your blocked nose get clear as fast as possible.

This is the result of.....

It was a hot Saturday. So daddy and mummy decided to to bring you to PSC for swimming. We left ah Kong's house around 5:30pm and reached PSC around 6pm. As soon as you get out from the car, you shouted "pooool" when you saw the sea. Yeah yeah, to you, it's a pool, instead of sea, HAHAHAHA!Since the weather quite nice and the beach quite clean, so we let you walk on the sand for a while before heading to the real pool.

The baby pool quite crowded, and before daddy and mummy shower ourselves before going into the pool with you, you already dragged mummy to the pool. As soon as you get into the pool, you splashed water happily. And mummy noticed that you accidentally drank some pool water. We showed you how to swim and daddy even carry you and let you jump into the water!! This time, daddy will shower you as mummy cannot handle you all by myself as mummy nowadays a bit clumsy with the big tummy. So i went for shower before you guys while both of you still enjoy playing in the pool. We let you played in the pool for about 40 mins, and it's the hardest time for mummy and daddy as we need to pull you out from the pool. And of course we expect there will be some noise and protest from you.

We thought it should be ok, a bit of pool water only....However we are wrong. During dinner time, you refused to take your favourite spaghetti no matter how we coax you, you also refused to take your milk. Hmm...something not right huh! So we quickly finish our dinner and headed home. On our way home, you poo-ed. And from the sound, it sounds like diarrhea. Gosh, so, we suspect could be the pool water causes you to have diarrhea. Since it's quite late, so we did not get the lactose free milk powder for you. As soon as you had your milk, you will poo.

We waited for next day then only mummy called up Dr Tan. Immediately he heard that you went for swimming, he told mummy must be the contaminated pool water caused the diarrhea. Since the diarrhea not very bad, he asked mummy to give you anti-diarrhea medicine and monitor your progress. Also, we went to Sunshine Square to get you Enfalac Lactose Free milk powder. The diarrhea doesn't bother you at all, thank goodness.

And since Monday is public holiday, so mummy get to spend one more day with you at the same time monitor your progress. So far so good. Your diarrhea is under control even though you will still poo some soft and loose stool.

So, next challenge for daddy and mummy will be, how to make sure you will not accidentally drink the pool water during our next swimming session????

Day 2 in KL and back to Penang

You waked us up around 7:30am. Oh…mummy want to sleep more..and you keep waking me up and pull me up from the bed, so no choice, I have to wake up, and at the same time, I wake daddy up too!! Need to be fair, right? Since we wake up, so daddy need to wake up too!! HAHA! After that, you lead me to the connecting door, want me to open it for you. Once I open the door, you pushed the other door and you walked into ah kong and ah ma’s room and keep calling them!! Both of them actually wake up earlier than you, haha!

So quickly we went down for breakfast and you enjoy the food though. You had 2 rounds of small bowl of porridge! After that, you asked ah kong to carry you by the brasserie’s window to see LRT. Poor Ah Kong has to gobble his food then bring you to the window to see LRT. We moved your high chair to the window but…you prefer to sit on ah kong’s shoulder. Little bully huh!

After breakfast, we went back to our room, wanted to let you have your morning nap, but you refused to sleep, keep running around in the room. Initially we wanted to have lunch buffer in hotel’s brasserie before heading to 1 Utama. But because all of us still feel full from morning’s breakfast, so we decided to make a move to 1 Utama and have our lunch there.

You seems quite corporate in the car until about 20 mins later, you started to make noise. You are sleepy and “crave” for milk. So daddy and mummy need to keep talking to you to divert your attention. As soon as we reached 1 Utama, daddy get some warm water to make milk for you. After milk, you become you again, super energetic. And you saw some kids passby with balloons and you kept telling ah kong “baboon!”. Poor Ah Kong need to hunt for balloon for you. Ah Kong asked one of the parents and the daddy told ah kong he gets the balloon from the other end of the mall. So Ah Kong carry you all the way from one end to another end to get a “baboon” for you. When you guys reached there, no more balloon, but there is one at the DJ table, in fact, lots of parents eye-ing at the last balloon, and ah kong approached the DJ asked for it. The DJ gave it to you and you even “hi 5!” with him and wave happily with the “baboon.” Daddy and mummy went to the noddle house for lunch and apparently the food not as nice as before, so disappointed. After lunch, daddy, mummy and ah ma went for retail therapy while ah kong look after you. Too bad,no sales and nothing much to buy, so mummy had a quick walk and decided to look for you. Guess what, when we found you and ah kong, both of you are in Jusco and ah kong is pushing you in the shopping cart. Ah Kong said this is the only way to keep you entertained! HAHA!

After we meet up with Ah ma, we decided to leave KL. You asked for milk again and when we left 1 Utama, you doze off in the car. You slept for close to 1 hr and wake up. Guess what happen then…..nightmare for everyone! You started to cry for a short while then later throw out all milk. You throw out on daddy’s pants. Poor us, we have to bear with the smell until Tapah rest area. We washed you at the rest area, let you walked for a while, and before we started the journey, you throw out again. Oh oh, something not right! And you complained ah kong’s car smelly and keep telling us “Throw car! Throw car!” I lost count how many times you throw out before we reached Ipoh town. Basically you throw out all milk and you keep ask for water. However, after a while, you will throw out all water. Pity you.
We went to Ipoh for dinner, and we order plain porridge for you. You must be very hungry and you ate the porridge. Mummy feed you slowly and you throw out the porridge few times, but this doesn’t stop you from continue eating it. Poor little boy!

We headed back to Penang after the dinner, and when we reached Bukit Merah, mummy called Dr Tan, wanted to send you to ER for him to check. And through phone, he told me that you may have food poisoning, and he asked me to let you take motilium and monitor you. As soon as I put down the phone, you asked for milk. We dare not let you take any milk in the car, afraid you may throw out again. And mummy have to lie to you, telling you we are running out of milk powder. And as soon as I told you so, you replied me “pa pa”, indicating daddy to go buy milk powder for you. Geez, my heart sank when I heard you say so. Mummy sign song and pat you and luckily you fall asleep in daddy’s arm. You kept waking up ask for milk and mummy kept assuring you that I will give u milk as soon as we reached home.

Finally, we reached home. Dr Tan said give you 1 or 2 oz milk, and mummy actually gave you 3 oz. And very fast, you finish the milk and ask for more! And we waited for 15 mins before give u another 3 oz. After that you showed us sleepy sign and we brought you to the room and you ask for milk again. So another 4 oz for you. You drank the milk happily and no throw out and we were so happy. However, around 30 mins later, you throw out the milk. Sigh….we are not suppose to give u so much of milk, but you kept ask for it with your pitiful look. The many many round of throw out seems do effect on you, you kept ask for milk. So daddy took the risk to give you some and pat you to sleep. Luckily no more throw out and you even ask for milk middle of the nite…phew, what a relief!

Getting better!

After 2 visits to the Chinese physician on Wed (4/9) and Friday(4/11) , finally, during the weekend, your leg seems better. You seems able to walk better and better. And your action can tell the outcome of the massage. You run and jump happily over the weekend. Make mummy feel much much better.

BIG THANK YOU to Uncle James and Ms Goh for their great help for bringing us to see the Chinese physician and both of them take the effort to drive us all the way to town for the massage despite of the heavy traffic on Friday.

Not much improvement

Monday, we decided to bring you see Dr Tan again as you were pretty cranky on Sunday night when we change your diaper for you. You cried and no matter how we comfort you , you seems not happy. So the whole night daddy and mummy don’t get a good night sleep as we feel worry on your legs, afraid the pain could make you feel uneasy.

Tuesday, mummy drive to work early while daddy stay at home taking care you and wait for ah ma to pick you guys up to go to hospital for ultrasound, xray and blood test. Gosh, mummy really cannot concentrate at work, keep calling daddy. I can’t imagine, such a small kid needs to go thru all the pain, ultrasound, xray …..my heart really sank when doc told me you need to go for all these checking. Feel so guilty for unable to be with you while you go through all these checking. Heard from daddy that you cried throughout the procedure. I guess if mummy is there, I will for sure be crying together with you.

Mummy’s meeting end close to 1pm, and quickly I packed my thing and went to pick up your lunch from school and with top speed deliver it to you. And guess what, I forgot to bring along my driving license and there is road block at the corner after Tesco, luckily the police didn’t stop mummy. The parking lot in the hospital is so full and I need to wait for parking space. After I parked the car, mummy quickly walked to where you are. Since the hospital is full, so they temporary let you stay in temporary ward. When I came out from the lift, from far, I saw ah kong carrying you walking around the corridor area. When you see me, you wave with me happily. When I see you smile so happy, I feel so much relief.

You refused to take your nap and keep want to play even though you look tired. Finally, Dr Tang came around 3:30pm and after reviewing your ultrasound and x-ray result, he told us you are having transient synovitis. And since nothing much can be done, so mummy asked for home leave. Before we leave the hospital, we went to see Dr Tan.

On the way back, you played with your toy and suddenly I turn your head to the left, and within 0.5 sec, doze off!!! Mummy and daddy so puzzled when we see that as you NEVER want to sleep in your car seat no matter how tired you are. So I bet you must be EXTREMELY tired huh! When we reached Ah Kong’s house, the dog wakes you up but mummy asked you to continue to sleep, and again you continue to sleep in your car seat. Daddy has to carry the whole car seat down and initially we want to let you sleep in your car seat, but second thought, better to let you sleep at proper position rather at sitting position. So, here come a crankly baby when we move you out from car seat into your cradle. But very fast , you continue to your ZZZzzz land.
