My girl oh my girl
She will be very demanding, whatever she wants means she wants it. No matter how u coax her, how u negotiate with her, it will be a BIG NO NO from her.
She will walk walk walk and suddenly hit on her brother's face or head. And the poor boy will show his sour face. Luckily the brother is very kind, he will not hit the sister. And with this, this make the sister become little barbarian girl in the house.
She will walk walk walk and out of sudden hug the brother real tight and shake the brother left and right. But of course with her strength and the brother's weight, she wont be able to shake the brother much, LOL!
At night, when i told her to sleep with daddy while i go to change my pajamas, she will burst into tears and kept crying until i wake into the room.
In the morning, wake up, doesn't see anyone in the room, cry cry cry...
But thank god, the separation anxiety doesn't happen when i drop her to school. She will only unwillingly let the teacher to carry her out from the car, but no tears when i wave bye bye with her, what a big relief.
Hope she will pass through these phases ASAP. Wish me luck!

Great job, my lil girl
Today, on our way back, she asked me to open her toy for her. As usual, i will do it for her and out of our expectation, she said "thank you mummy!" Both me and hubb was shocked, and we asked each other whether did we hear it correctly.
yeah yeah, we didn't hear it wrongly, our lil girl said thank you to me. yippie!!! Finally, she uses the magic word without us asking or remind her. Sweetie pie, good job!

Kelvin's achievement in 2010
I received his whole year assessment on 11/15, and with heavy heart, i opened up the report book. And to my surprise, he scored straight A for every items listed in the report card. But again, i don't happy with it, not that i am giving him pressure. The reason i am not happy with the result is, i know he he very bad in mandarin, and i can't understand how can he score A for mandarin. So i waited til Parent Teacher meet up on Thursday and clarify with his teacher.
On Thursday 11/18, after dinner, we headed to the school for the parent teacher meet up. And i managed to have a good talk with the teacher. According to the teacher, they rate the children based on their academy progress and their learning attitude. They are seeing there's tremendous improvement on his learning attitude. As a reward, they give him A for those he scored B in the half yr assessment. Receive good feedback on him from teacher, except for one thing, need further improvement on his mandarin. But he is not alone, teacher told me, majority of Kelvin's friends are bad in mandarin as most of them speaks English. LOL! And at the same time, teacher invited me to the prize giving ceremony on the next day as my little boy get the 3rd placing in his class. BRAVO!!! Never expect this though!
On Friday, 11/19, early morning Kelvin asked me to drop him to school, telling me he will receive trophy today. He's so excited with it. I kept telling him that the event will start at 9am. LOL! When i get there, he was so excited and straight bring me to the table where they put all the trophies. He was so excited and keep checking at his trophy. I am not sure whether he knows what is going on and how he manage to get the trophy.
Kelvin's friend , J : Kelvin, u are number 1 and i am number 2, HZ is number 3.
LOL! Kids are kids...i doubt they really know what is happening. His friend and him thought, the first one who get the trophy is number 1...in fact, it's the other way round.
After everyone get their trophies, it's group photo session. My little boy so happy to show his trophy but too bad, he was blocked by one of his friends. So can't see his face clearly in the pic. When i leave the school after the prize giving ceremony, he kept tell me that i need to keep show his trophy to daddy and keep in daddy's car. LOL! Too bad, daddy is busy at work, so he missed the opportunity to join the fun.

Kelvin can take spicy food
Today, we had stuffed chili fish as one of the dishes in our dinner, Kelvin saw the grandpa enjoying the fish and he asked for a trial. I thought he will shout for help due to the spicy chili, but to my surprise, he accepted the fish and even ASK FOR MORE!
Actually, this is his second attempt trying on spicy food. Last Saturday when i has sour and spicy noodle as lunch, he tried the soup and immediately he fall in love with the soup and keep ask for more.
So, in conclusion, my boy can eat spicy food. YEAH!!! Will slowly train him and increase his spicy tolerance level.

Kelvin's first time on stage
Why i'm so excited?? Because.....it's the first time my sweetie pie performing on the stage! If you follow my blog, you will know how excited am i when he went for rehearsal on 2 weeks ago.
On the big day, we get him to take his nape at 1pm, but failed. We threatened him and at last, he fall asleep around 2:30pm. And he slept for more than 2 hours, and this time i need to force him to wake up. LOL! After he wake up around 430pm, i quickly cooked him his favorite food, spaghetti. After that, we quickly bathed him, persuade him to let me make up for him. He refused to let me put on eye shadow and lipstick, and we need to use soft and hard way to make him accept the make up :) After that, we headed to Dewan Sri Pinang as they need to be there by 5:45pm.
We reached Dewan Sri Pinang around 5:55pm, and initially i afraid my little boy will cried and refuse to go into the assembly area. To my surprise, he happily wave goodbye to me. And at the end, i am the one walk away with thousands of worries. Worried that he may cried when he's on the stage, worry that he may missed his dance step, worried that he may need to go wee, worried that........
The concert start around 7:15pm, and Kelvin's dance is the 7th in the list. This year, the theme of the concert is Alibaba the musical concert. Waiting waiting and waiting...waiting is very hard, can feel that time pass very slow...When it come to 6th performance, i quickly get myself a nice spot at the front of the stage. I am in charge of taking pic while hubb in charge of recording the dance. But, at the end, hubb did a great job and i did a lousy job. I can't stop myself from laughing when i see my little boy dance. He is just so adorable. I am so proud of him for be able so steady performing on the stage. At this moment, i told myself that i over-worried. My son is doing a great job! Due to those students same class with Kelvin are quite active, so teachers decided to let them
It's very fun seeing all the excited parents moving back and forth to the front of the stage. All parents will rush to the front of the stage to capture the perfect moments during their kids' performance. And after that, the parents will walk back to their seats and another batch of parents will take over the space at the front of the stage.Lastly, all performers line up on the stage and bow to the audiences.
The concert ended around 930pm, and the first thing my little sweetie pie told me is..."he's super hungry!" Luckily i spared a bread in my bag for him. I asked him whether will he perform again on the stage, and happily he told me, "YES". I am so proud of him and i need to admit, my little boy growing up. He is getting more and more independent.

Journey of potty training - cont
Today some improvement, 2 missed. Great job. However, I am having hard time with you at night as you refused to put on your diaper. We need to force you to wear it, pity girl. Hope you wont get confuse why sometimes we let you diaperless and why sometimes we force you to wear diaper.
4/21
While mummy tugging you to sleep, out of sudden, you told me you want to wee wee, and keep pointing at the toilet door. I asked whether you want to wee at toilet and you nodded your head. For first time at night, mummy took off your diaper and bring you to toilet, surprise me, you wee! So amazing. After that you refused to put on your diaper and again, after few mins of fighting, I managed to put on diaper for you.
4/22
When you wake up from sleep, you told me you want to go toilet wee wee. And yes, you did it. Even though your diaper is full off wee throughout the night, but yet, this is really a great start. When mummy change your clothes for you to get your ready to go to school, you refuse to put on diaper and you asked me to “throw” away your diaper. So I decided to take the risk and give a try to drive you to school diaperless, afterall, it’s a real short journey. Mummy keep reminding you that you are diaperless and if you want to wee , need to inform mummy.
4/27
In around 2 weeks time, you are 80% potty trained, what a great milestone for you! Great job, girl. Mummy so proud of you.

Journey of potty training- first attempt
Yesterday when mummy picked you up, teacher Margaret asked me to pack more pants for you as she planned to potty train you.
Mummy packed 8 pants for you. I told teacher Margaret your fear of sitting on potty. Mummy tried to make you sit on potty for few times, but everytime you will cry and refuse to sit on it even though I make it as a game with you. So when teacher Margaret told me her plan, mummy was like “should I or shouldn’t I” But I told teacher Margaret to leave it to you, if you ok , then we proceed if you reject, then we will slower down the training. But….i have faith on teacher Margaret, coz she is the one helped me to potty train your keke, so I don’t see any problem to let her train you
Today when mummy picked you up, teacher Margaret said there was 4 missed incident take place, well, but at least you didn’t reject the potty training. Teacher Margaret trained 4 of you at one time. So I guess you thought it’s part of your daily activities, so you didn’t reject and in fact, you enjoy the fun. Teacher Margaret worry that you may run out of pants, so everytime you wet your pant, teacher Margaret will get the maid to clean and dry it, just in case you need it.

My cheeky girl
Sometimes she will ask me to "open" something for her, but most of the time, she will tell me "pen" without "o". And if i insist that i will not open for her until she says open properly, she will then say out open IF she desperately want the thing to be opened, else, i will need to give in and follow her instructor.
Sometimes she will ask us to "sit", get "up" from the chair;
Sometimes she will ask us to get "out" from the house because she wants to go out kai kai;
Sometimes she will request us to give her a pencil as she wants to "write";
She's able to recognize lorry, car, van, motorbike, bus...but sometimes, she will mixed up van and bus. I don't really expect much from her, just want her to grow up happily and enjoy her childhood.

Where is my little boy?
Ever since started on 7th Jan 2010, you decided to be independent. This decision really make all of us (mummy, teacher Siti, Ms Goh) shocked. But, mummy really feel proud of you.
I still can remember, on 4th Jan 2010, teacher Siti need to attend to her daughter as it's her first day at school, and for you, it's not your first day at school, but you decided to be naughty. You want teacher Siti to pat you to sleep and doesn't allow other teachers to attend to you. This give everyone so inconvenient. Ms Goh even went over to the school, try to pat you to sleep, buy failed. So, on the next day, Ms Goh and teacher Siti had a meeting, the decision is, they will not further spoilt you, they want to be firm to you, drawing the line with you and tell you what is YES, and what is NO. To our surprise, without any struggling, you follow the new way, which is, sleep by your own, eat by your own and also allow other teachers to attend to you.
Until today, you well behave in school, very independent. Good job, my boy!
Another big achievement is, you wean off from bottle at school. Mummy and teacher Siti had a long discussion before on how to wean you off from bottle, and mummy really have hard time to wean you off because i can't stand seeing you forcing yourself to drink from the cup, so mummy actually give up and i kept comforting myself by telling me, you will wean off from bottle when you are ready. And on Sunday, 10th Jan, through our me and you chit chat session on our way back from Tesco, you told me that you drink milk from cup in the school. At first mummy thought that you are trying to comfort me, but it's a truth that i am so happy to know about it. I confirmed with teacher Siti, YES, you finally wean off from bottle in school. However, mummy still let you drink milk from bottle at night, i will need to slowly wean you off from bottle completely.
Nowadays, you don't need any of us to tug you to bed, you will just ask for a short bed time story, then you will doze off by yourself. Sometimes when i talk to you, you will remind me that you are bvig boy; and sometimes you even reject my offer to help you with certain task. You don't need me to bring you to toilet, you will go toilet by yourself then only informing me that you went to toilet. And today, which mummy was busy attending to mei mei, suddenly i saw you standing beside me, you were sitting on the booster seat having your pasta and mummy told you that i will bring you down from the booster seat after attending to mei mei. Guess what, you told me that you are big boy, you can do it yourself and you even showed me how you did it.
Suddenly...i feel i miss you so much. I misses the little you, the way you crawl; they way you walk; the way you talk; the way you smile.....you seems to be very independent and grow up a lot over night. Independent is something i wish you can have it, but now, when you slowly getting more and more independent, mummy started to miss the little boy of mine who always "koala" to me at night.

Your first step
Finally….u r walking unsupported by yourself! I got this template from Ern's mummy, aunt Wooi Sin and i used this template to post for ker ker's first step too. Thanks Wooi Sin for this perfect template to track my kids' first step.Am so happy seeing you able to walk all by yourself, however, here come the worries, you refuse to let us hold on your hand and you walk like a little penguin, trying to balance yourself while walking.
And guess what, beside daddy and mummy, ke ke is the most happy boy seeing you able to walk and he kept running around in the house asking you to chase after him, and you keep trying to catch him. Well, his one round running around the house is your ¼ walking distance, LOL!

You can walk unsupported
Today, remark another new start for you as you are able to walk few steps unsupported!
You will lean on our leg, then once you balance yourself, you will walk few steps unsupported. Keep it my, my little girl!
Actually when mummy pick you up from school on Friday, teacher told me that you are able to walk 2 steps unsupported, i feel so happy hearing that. But too bad, i am not there to see it. Until today, i have chance to see you walking like penguin, LOL!
As you know how to crawl, so it's pretty hard for us to make you walk. Mummy tried to ask you come to me by holding your toy, but instead of "walk" to me, you crawl to me and get your toy. **mission failed** Mummy doesn't want to push you too much, so i let you do it by yourself when you are ready for it, and finally, i see you walking, i am so so so so happy!

No=Yes
You actually want the milk and you are reponding to mummy saying you want it but, the way you respond has opposite meaning. I recall, youe ke ke also did the same thing to mummy. No=yes.
Later, during the next feeding, i did the same test on you, ask you whether you want any milk. You keep shaking your head left and right with your mouth open widely and your hand stretched out trying to reach the milk bottle in my hand.
I am so glad that you started to show more respond to our question and seems like able to show us your preference. All the while, whenever you refuse to drink milk, if we force you to drink, you will either move your face away or refuse to open your mouth, and now you are at another milestone, you can tell us no=yes!

Mr "What is this?"
Last Saturday, ah kong was vacuuming the Honeywell air filter for mummy and out of sudden, you walked to him and point at the vacuum cleaner and asked him, "ah kong, what is this?"
From there onwards, we noticed that you start to walk around ask us lots of "what is this?" question. When you see any of us doing/using something which look new and fresh to you, you will ask us "what is this?" and sometimes you sort like want to test on our patience as you will keep asking us "what is this?" even though we already reply to your question. But i do enjoy answering you be it one time or many many time, it's very fun though.
Looks like you have move to another stage of your childhood, and very soon you will ask us "why?" and all of us will have headache answering your "why?".

Your first smile
Mummy was talking to you after you wake up from your long night sleep, and you greeted me with a sweet smile, it really brighten up my day! Mummy gets excited and keep talking to you and you responded me with your smile, however, after a while, probably you get bored or tired, you stop smiling and start to whine mummy, want me to carry you and walk around instead.
I Love you, baby!

Terrible Two? Fantastic Two?
At once, i feel happy when seeing you have your own opinion, however, on the other side, i feel headache. Now, you will tell daddy and mummy what you want, what you don't want. You no longer follow what we said. And sometimes, you will even tell either of us that you don't want either of us. Sigh...But mummy know you don't mean it, you just want to make us ARRRGGGHHH then you will walk away happily. DUH!
And, you will also tell daddy and mummy where you want to go during weekend, but your favourite place is either Tesco or Queensbay Mall. Luckily, else we will have hard time to bring you around during weekend.
Most of the internet article suggest time out manner to deal with terrible two, but mummy usually will give in whenever you throw tantrum. But thank god, so far mummy managed to distract you when you throw tantrum. And also, you tantrum is just a small and manageable tantrum. ** too early to comment?**
Sometimes when you make mummy angry, and when mummy raise my voice, you will show me your innocent look, and you will keep talking to mummy and make mummy laugh with all sorts of funny actions. However, when daddy scold you, you will come to mummy and tell me "mummy, daddy scold" then, mummy will ask daddy don't scold you. Hmm....does it means mummy is the one who spoilt you?
Well, maybe daddy and mummy should look at this at positive angle, our little boy is growing up!

Almost there...
How we start with the potty train? We started it at home by letting you diaperless. However, mummy needs to keep asking you whether you want to go toilet every 15 mins just to make sure you will not wee on your pant. However, sometimes when you are in playing mood, you will ignore mummy and the next thing is, you will tell me you wee on your pant.
So, in school, how the teacher able to make you tell when you want to wee wee? For initial start, teacher will bring you to toilet every 15 mins, and later they find that all of you will get more excited when ALL OF YOU wee wee together! Wee wee party!
And ta da...now, you no longer wear diaper unless you are sleeping. And this morning, when mummy changed you to casual wear, you told mummy you don't want to wear diaper. LOL! I have to keep assuring you that it's ok to wear diaper as we afraid you may want to wee while we are on the way sending you to school. Yet, this still can't convince you and finally, mummy told you that you can ask Teacher Margeret to remove the diaper for you when we reached school. Then only you stop asking me to remove the diaper for you. Hmm...looks like my little boy growing up huh!
Guess what, daddy grumble to mummy saying, we shouldn't stock up so much diapers since you already 80% potty trained as we bought lots of diapers at Tesco during last months sales! But never mind,we can keep the diapers for your sibling!

New vocab learned
Teacher Margeret: Kelvin, who goes to the moon?
Kelvin: Astronaut
Mummy : **Wow**
Teacher Margeret : Kelvin, how do you call baby butterfly?
Kelvin: caterpillar
Mummy : **another wow**
Happily, teacher Margeret told mummy that today she showed all of you some flash card and apparently there is one rocket and caterpillar being shown to you all. So she took the opportunity to tell you all that astronaut goes to the moon and caterpillar is baby butterfly. Looks like you are picking up lots of new words in school. Hope you enjoy being in the school and will pick up more and more words and give daddy and mummy more and more surprises.

23 months progress
