Chanting session

Today, we attended the chanting session at Uncle Buck Kooi's house. there is few monks coming from Tibet and Uncle Buck Kooi invited them to his house. The session started at 2:30pm, however, due to heavy rain, we only reached there at 3pm. When we reached there, lots of people sitting on the floor, following the session.

Uncle Shuenn Chyi greeted you with a toy car and you was so excited with it, immediately you said "vroom vroom" clear and loud. While daddy and mummy following with the session, you was busy playing with the car, and suddenly you knock your forehead lightly to the stool beside, and ...guess what, you decided to turn on your loudspeaker. It wasn't the usual you, i guess could be you are not feeling well, as you are having cough and running nose, so little little thing will make you cranky. Mummy quickly hold you tight and distract you with the toy car, phew.....in less than 1 minute time, you kept quiet and continue playing with your car. And......another episode kick in while you were busy crawling over the cushion that we put on the floor. You suddenly lost balance and fall on your cheek. Again, another loud crying and this time i have to carry you to the sliding door, distract you with the curtain and switches....phew, luckily you stop crying pretty soon.

After about 1.5 hrs, the session ended. Each of us line up to get blessing from the monk. We get to cut queue to get the blessing from the monks. Initially mummy worried that you may get cranky when daddy carry you in front of the monk. to my surprise, you very cooperate, you well behave and even let the monk to get close to you. After that, we started to enjoy the food. You get to eat apple and papaya meanwhile daddy and mummy enjoy eating other yummie food. You started to show sleepy sign to us by rubbing your eyes, telling us time to go back for short nap again!

Happy Mooncake Festival!

Today is the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, and this is what we call Moon Cake Festival, to be more precise, it's Mid-Autumn Festival . Mooncakes are also known as ``reunion cakes'' as family members gather to partake of the sweet confectionery. While the adult busy enjoying the mooncake, children will gleefully carry lanterns of all shapes and sizes walk around the house.

On Sunday night, Ah Kong told mummy that there will be a small party at Penang Swimming Club, so daddy and mummy decided to bring oyu there to join the crowd. Anyhow, it's your FIRST time celebrating the mid-autumn festival. Excited???? haha! We quickly take our dinner, and off, we headed to PSC with Ah Kong. And of course, we bring along your Winnie the Pooh lantern.

When we reached there, it's around 7:40pm, the party started at 7:30pm. There is a small buffet line being set up right behind the children swimming pool. Mummy try to find something for you to eat, too bad, all of the food are very oily. Sooo...only daddy, mummy and Ah Kong get to eat the food.

Since there is also a lantern competition take place on the day, the organiser requested all children to hold on their lantern and walk around the swimming pool. When everyone start to walk around, mummy carry you while you hold on to your lantern and join the parade. And guess who we met? We met Vernon kor kor with his Doraemon lantern. While we were walking around the pool, you don't seems to get fascinated by all types of lantern, instead, you kept looking at people swimming in the pool. Hmm, you must be wondering how come these people still can play in water at night meanwhile you are not allow to do so? Or you are hinting to daddy and mummy that you want to play water?

After one round of walking around the pool, we are back to the buffet side. While waiting for prize giving, mummy went to do another round of survey on buffet line, to look for food for you.Taaa daaaaa...they bring out some newly fried food and yippie, mummy spotted few slices of tomatoes that used as decoration, so mummy get few slices for you to eat, else pity you, keep looking at our food. And you enjoy eating your tomatoe very much.

We went off around 9pm when you start showing sleepy look to us by keep rubbing your eyes. We decided to make a off before you become a cranky baby. I hope you enjoy the lantern party and by next year, you will be able to join in the crowd, walking with your lantern.

Evening Shopping at QBM

Yesterday night, we decided to bring you to QBM for a short walk after dinner. You were so excited when daddy drove the car into the parking lot. You can't wait to get down from the car and kept showing your excited face when daddy looking for parking. Luckily us, we managed to find a nice parking spot in shortest time.

As daddy need to get something done, so mummy decided to walk with you instead of waiting for daddy. We decided to meet at Toys"R"us. Along the way we pass by OshKosh and mummy decided to check on their shoes for you. There is quite a lot of nice shoes, but in terms of price wise, a bit expensive for toddler's shoes, it's from the range of RM59 til RM79. I spotted few nice shoes, but no more size 5. The sales lady very friendly and nice, she helps mummy to sort out those still have size 5, and out of many, only 4 has size 5. Out of the 4, only 2 of them looks nice to mummy. While mummy and the sales lady busy fitting the shoes for you, guess what...you were busy too. You were busy "eating" the other shoe that you grab from the shelf. Duh!! hahaha! Mummy has to apologies to the sales lady. At the end, we didn't buy any shoe from Osh Kosh as mummy can't find any that i like. The next shop we went to was Baby Gap, errm.....not much choices compare to OshKosh, i will say, no choice.

Since no luck in shoe hunting, so mummy decided to bring you to Enfant, i know i sure can get you something there. Mummy bought you one set of pyjamas, one set of clothes and one long sleeve sleep ware. While mummy busy choosing clothes for you, you suddenly insisted me to move to the other section of the shop. You spotted a set of red clothing. And baby, it's for baby girl, not for you. Mummy told you that it's for girl, not for boy. And guess what, you gave me a bit at my arm. Ouch, so pain!! Quickly, mummy paid and want to bring you to Tor"R"Us. And while mummy paying for the shopping, you grab my newly bought Braun Buffel purse and start "biting" it....hey, the purse just one day old. Daddy just bought it for me a day before. Luckily mummy noticed it, else i have to find the missing piece in your mouth.

Finally, we are in Toy"R"us. We went to the Party Section first as mummy want to get some balloon, party bunting, etc for your upcoming big one party.To keep you busy, mummy gave you a pack of plastic fruits to hold on it while mummy check at the Party section. Later, i brought you to the toy section at the end. You were so excited with all the toys especially all the toy cars. Thank god, daddy arrived at Toy"R"Us not long after that. I quickly hand you over to him and ask him to let you explore all the toys, mummy exhausted as you too active. Quickly, i went to the party section again to grab whatever i spotted earlier. And suddenly i heard a loud laughing noise, and i know it's you! hahahaha.....When i went back to the toy section, you were sitting in the swing and holding a sword. Daddy said you laugh out loud and happily when he let you play with the sword. Oh yeah, at the same time, you gave him few bites too!!! I know i know, you try to be fair to daddy and mummy. Since you bitten me earlier, so you also bite daddy so that he wont complain sayang you only love mummy huh! good boy! yeah!

After mummy paid for the party thing, we decided to go home as you start to rub your eyes and you looks a bite sleepy too.

When we reached home, as usual, you must watch your favourite lullabies and play with your toys before sleep. Since you exhausted, you go to your la la land pretty fast when mummy nurse you.

My baby turning BIG ONE soon!

Time flies....my baby going turning one soon! I still remember, when the time i had the ticker on my desktop, the countdown day is 3 digits starts with 3xx days, and then slowly move to 2xx days, 1xx days, then goes to 2 digits...and guess what, today, when i look at the ticker when i login to my laptop, it shows,

Wow, 18 days to Kelvin's BIG ONE!

On and off, i will look back at Kelvin's pics from the day he's born til the latest, everytime i look at it, i wish i can on hold the time. Oh, i started to misses those old days.I misses the time he sleep in my arm, i misses the way i carry him when he's newborn, i misses the day he started his first solid, i misses the time the way he etc etc.....But i have to admit that, time flies, our little boy will reach his next stage, "upgrade" from baby to toddler.

I went to see friend's newborn couple of weeks ago, suddenly, Kelvin's newborn face flashed into my mind, gosh, how long can i remember how he looks like when he's just born?

I will update Kelvin's milestone sometime later, i need to sit down, recall back from now backdated to the day he's born. But thanks god, i recorded most of his milestone in this blog.

Oh! my little sweetie pie..

You are getting more and more cheeky nowadays. Guess what, you are trying to climb up to whatever place or thing that you can. You like to stand on sofa, put your teether or milk bottle behind the sofa then turn back to us, give us the "no more" sign. Then, you will find whatever that you hide at the back at the sofa and throw us an evil grin! Besides that, if someone supporting you from behind, you will climb up the sofa, as if you are climbing up all by yourself.

Ah Ma brought you to the kitchen and you climb up to the dining table. I bought a bottle of 100 plus from Tesco and put it on the table, spotted by you. You want to drink it and we have to keep telling you that you are too young for it. Later, you decided to play with it. You stand up on the dining table and kick the bottle, then laugh happily when the bottle fall on the table.

For the whole day, you kept playing the hide and seek game yourself, but of course, we dare not leave you unattended on the sofa as you tend to let yourself free fall and lye on the sofa with your leg open widely, and show us your relaxing face. What a naughty boy!

Yesterday night, we show you our new bedroom. YES, now we move to the second bedroom, and guess what, we basically sleep in all the 3 bedrooms in our apt. Before having you, mummy and daddy only fully utilise our master bedroom, and now, we uses all the 3 rooms. Thank god that you didn't make any noise when mummy carry you into the room. You were actually busy flipping your flash card as if you are reading it. And daddy decided to call off the day by switch off the light in the room and you scream at him. YEAH, you are so hardworking, still reading at night and daddy disturb you by switching off the light ya!

Treasure Hunt at Home

Over the weekend, the daddy and son, ETF,NTBD ~ Eat Too Full, Nothing Better To do, thus, they decided to have a mini treasure hunt.

Kelvin will roll his water bottle and both of them will look for it under the sofa. Kelvin likes to roll his toy, water bottle, milk bottle all over the place, and when the thing get underneath the sofa, he will bend himself down and look for the item. If the item is within his reachable limit, he will put his hand underneath the sofa and pull it out, however, most of the time, he will ask for our help.

Yummie homemade Yogurt!

Yesterday evening was your First time trying PK HOMEMADE yogurt. Eh...mummy made the yogurt? No no no, mummy not so expert in doing it, it's mummy's friend, aunty Poh Kien made the yogurt and she passes some to mummy. Thanks, aunty Poh Kien :)

Mummy so excited to let you try on it. When i gave you the first scoop, you show me sour face, but..when mummy asked " You want some more?" To my surprise, you open your mouth, showing intention to have more. Cool ! I feed you more and more and more until i feel that you have enough of it. Yummie huh!

Later at night, Ah Kong said you poo-ed a lot...hmm....the yogurt make you poo a lot? Hmm, am not sure, but anyhow, yogurt is good for you. Mummy will get some avocado later and add in for you, let's have fun eating yogurt tonight again! :)

Another new word!

Today, mummy made a mistake..i thought Tesco's Huggies Ultra sales started today,thus, after pick you up from nursery, we headed to Tesco happily. When i checked at the shelf, can't find any XL Huggie Ultra, so dissapointed. (the actual sales only start on 6-Sep) But i am happy to bring you for a short shopping and you seems enjoy it so much. How we kept you entertain? Daddy is smart, he found a way to keep you excited, which is....

He will let you hold on something, as if you own it and we will buy it for you...you will hold it happily and excitedly! So, today, you get to hold on a pack of peanut, then a tomato, a POLO candy bar.....but, we didn't buy any of those for you :) Just a trick to keep your entertain!

So does it means we will go to Tesco again tomorrow? haha...don't think so!

Today, mummy brought you to meet with a new friend, son of daddy and mummy's friend.
But instead of greeting the new friend, you greeted their maid...LOL! As the maid saw you, she moves her head sideway left right playing with you, and this is one of your favourite games!So as return, you give her your sweetest smile!

When we got home, Ah Kong carry you and walk around the car porch for a while. At the same time, Ah Kong teaches you another new word, BIRD! And guess what!! You try to read out the word after ah Kong, your version is "bblert" I feel so happy hearing it eventhough it's not the exact word! Time flies, my baby going to be 11 mths soon and he's slowly trying to pick up some words everyday! Good job baby!

Mummy need to tuck you to the bed as early as possible as i need to attend 11pm nite telecon, but, i only manage to make you sleep around 10:40pm. You are sleeping soundly with daddy while mummy typing this post. Sweet dream baby! And Happy Learning! kiss kiss !!

You make his day!

It's the most memorable day for Ah Kong, i guess so! Why? Today you finally call Ah Kong!! Although it's not loud, but it's soft and clear, we can tell that you are actually saying Ah Kong!

When mummy put you on your play mat and talking to you, suddenly i heard you saying "Ah Kong" softly....Happily, mummy shouted loudly and Ah Kong later join us and kept asking you to call him. Again, you tease ah Kong the same way you did to daddy. You refuse to call him and again, only when he walk away, then only you will call him softly and clearly. What a naughty boy!

Wow, you did it again!

Today, when mummy pick you up, Miss Goh~ The nursery principle proudly telling me that you kept calling Pa Pa for the whole day. You actually started calling Papa when you were about 9 mths old, but last month, you decided to call Mama instead of Papa...and now, you change your mind again! Daddy feel very happy hearing you calling him again. But, naughty you, you like to tease daddy! Whenever daddy ask you to call him, you will turn your head away and pretend not hearing his request. And as soon as you see him walk away from you, you will call out Papa softly.

Also, Miss Goh told me that you able to say "clock", Miss Goh kept saying clock to you and you will follow after she said so,but you will pronouce it as in "kkok"..haha! Good job baby!

Outing @ Penang Swimming Club

Sunday, since it has been quite sometime we didn't go to Penang Swimming Club, thus, we decided to bring you along for short while.

We went to the library and mummy brought you to the children section, you were happily crawling around and make some noise, so mummy need to bring you out to look for daddy. However, we only manage to keep you quiet for 1 min, then you decided to clap hand, laugh and make some noise. Before the librarian chase us out, daddy and mummy quickly get whatever books and VCDs that we want, then off, we headed to the lobby outside Captain Deck restaurant. It's a windy day, so 3 of us get to enjoy the sea breeze "a bit"! Daddy let you sit on the sofa, but you decided to stand! You stand squad jump, bla bla, do all stunt! While mummy busy taking your pics, daddy need to support you from behind, just in case, you lost balance and fell backward. We rested there for a while, then daddy call it off for the day.

Suddenly.....

Mummy crave for hotdog! So mummy insisted to dropby the Captain Deck restaurant for hotdog! I ordered Hotdog for myself, and guess what you order? ice lemon tea (per the pic)..nah....you were pointing at the waiter as he walk pass our table. Mummy get hot water from the waitress and prepare your rice cereal for you as your tea break. While mummy enjoying my hotdog, daddy get the honor to feed you your tea break ~ rice cereal. But, mummy won't bully daddy, i feed daddy some hotdog too. So 3 of us enjoy ourselves very much ! We left PSC around 4pm as you started to show the sign of "I am tired, i need a nap!"
