Going to Cinema

Daddy told me he has free movie tickets for Terminator Salvation at QBM. So since it's free, thus we decided to bring you along. If you decided to leave the cinema 5 mins after the show, No Problem! Afterall, it's free ticket , LOL!

So the day before, mummy told you that we are going to cinema for movie. I describe how cinema going to looks like to you long long time ago, and in fact, mummy thought of bringing you to the cinema to let you have the real feel of what is cinema. I guess GOD hear me, and here we are, we have free tickets for the show. But, then, the down side is, this show is not suitable for you. But, who cares! My intention is to show you what is Cinema.

So today is the day!! I must mark it down, it's 28th May 2009! The movie started at 7pm and we reached the cinema late, around 7:05pm, so what happen? We get the FRONT ROW!!! Each seat suppose to have a corn dog and pop corn, but when we took our seat, we only see drink, where all the corn dog and pop corn gone to? ARGH!! Luckily one of daddy's nice colleague, gf? passed us her portion of food. Gosh since it's front row, mummy need to let you sit on me at slanting position and need to keep whispering in your ears telling you what is happening. Yes, for the first time, mummy doesn't fall asleep in cinema as i am as excited as you do! At first i thought we will be sitting in the cinema for 5 mins, but to my surprise, we ended up in the cinema for 50 minutes! Bravo, son! After 50 mins, you told daddy you need to go wee wee and after wee wee you told daddy you do not want to go into the cinema anymore. Later, we wonder around in QBM and headed for our late dinner/supper.

The next day when you go to school, you told your friends about cinema and the BIG TV inside cinema, LOL! And when i told everyone (ah kong, ah ma, ms Goh and her families) on our experience, everyone had good laugh, and we recon that could be we are sitting too near the big screen tv and you feel afraid when seeing the robot moving around. It's a good experience for 3 of us though. Hope we can have another movie in near future. Pray hard that daddy will get free tickets on children movie.

Dinner at Spice Market Cafe - Rasa Sayang Hotel

Daddy had worn the recognition award from his boss, and it's for 2 person dining at Rasa Sayang's spice market cafe. And since we have no where to go for this Saturday, so we decided to go for the seafood buffet dinner.

Friday night, mummy told you the plan and you are very excited, keeping telling us that you want to go hotel for dinner. So mummy need to keep telling you that we are going to hotel for dinner on tomorrow!

And on Saturday morning, mummy need to have angreement with you, which is,
You must take breaskfast
You must take afternoon nap

Then, you will get to follow us to the buffet dinner. Actually, if you do not do whatever mummy ask you to do, you will also get to follow us :) LOL!

So, on Saturday,
you took a lots of breakfast;
and you took a long nap, from 1:30 pm to 5pm!
Ah Kong was shocked seeing you sleep for so long, because usually your nap time is around 2 hrs. And i told ah Kong our agreement, LOL!

We leave Kaitlyn behind with Ah kong and Ah Ma as she is too young for long hour outing, and furthermore, she will feel sleepy around 7:30pm, if she follows us out, she wont be to able to get good sleep. No worry, very soon, we will be going out with Kaitlyn in few months time.

We arrived at the hotel at 7pm, and the we were being greeted by the friendly receptionist and she even offer to help mummy to carry your books as one of my hand, i gotta hold you, and the other of my hand, i need to carry your books and water tumbler. Where is daddy??? Daddy is busy checking at his new toy aka new car, making sure he parks his car properly bla bla bla. The reception lead us to Spice Market Cafe and we get a place at a corner.

Before being there, few friends told me there will be lots of food at the buffet counter, bla bla, but when i see it personally, hmm..nothing to shout about, food wise, yeah, got quality, but quantity wise, not much choices. Or could it be because Saturday is Seafood buffet night, so less choices of food? Well, i don't know. but one thing surprise me is, Spice Market Cafe is almost fully booked! Who say market is bad, duh!

I get some food for you before i started mine, so you enjoy being serve like a king. As soon as mummy spotted the shark fin soup, i quickly get one bowl for you, but too bad, you told me you don't like it. I guess could be the shark fin soup a bit too concentrated sticky and you don't like it. We eat and eat and eat, chat and chat and chat, take photo and take photo, and finally dessert time! You wallap 1.5 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and why 1.5 scoops? Coz you dropped the other 0.5 scoop on the floor coz you enjoy the ice cream cone more than the ice cream, and while you enjoy eating the cone, you dropped the ice cream on the floor, LOL!

Ooops, it's 9pm, time to make a move, as we need to pick up Kaitlyn from Ah Kong's house. We didn't straight shoot home, we walk around the hotel for a while, let the food digest a little bit before we start our way home. As usual, you run around and laugh out loud and happily at the hotel lobby. And there is one little girl at the hotel lobby and both of you were chasing each other happily and noisily at the hotel lobby. Luckily the receptions didn't ask us to leave the hotel, they keep looking at both of you with friendly smile.

Hmm....will we go for dinner there again in near future? **hint hint to daddy**

On the day you turn 7 mths old

On the day you turn 7 mths, few events took place at the same time. 1)Mummy wake up with bad running nose, so I decided to take MC for the day and rest at home.

2)You are suppose to start your first porridge at school, somehow mummy forgot to bring along the slow cooker when I dropped you at day care. Actually the babysitter is cooking porridge for other kids, however, she added chicken meat or anchovies into the porridge. Mummy doesn’t want to let you start taking porridge with meat or anchovies too soon, so I decided to let them use our slow cooker and cook separately for you. I did the same arrangement for your ke ke when he was at your age too.

At first, i told teacher Margaret that since I forgot, then I will postpond the plan and let you have your porridge starting next week. However, teacher Margaret reminde me that today you turn 7 mths and mummy feel so bad, how could I forget your slow cooker???!! So dropby the school during lunch time and pass the slow cooker to teacher Margaret. Phew, still able to make it for your dinner!

3)And today, we will be collecting our new car! Yes, we booked the car last Monday and we will be able to get the car today! At first, mummy want the Pearl Grey but the sales person told us we may need to wait til Jul or Aug then only able to get the car. WHAT?! Then finally, we choose silver.

Ok, back to you.

You are progressing very well. At 7 mths old, you are able to turn around like a little worm and you even crawl on your chest.

We like to put some toy far far from you and make you crawl to the toy. And without any problem, you will crawl towards the toy and grab it. And if we repeat it again, you will happily crawl again and again without any fuss. I guess you enjoy playing such a way huh!

And everytime when we want you to take your nap, if you know ke ke is not sleeping, you will refuse to sleep and you will shout your lung out, but mummy found a way to make you sleep. If it's day time, ,i will pull the sliding door curtain all the way, pull the window blind all the way down and if it's night time,I will switch of the entire living room's light, i n order to create a dark environment for you, rock you in my arm, and within 5~10 mins you will sleep soundly in my arm. What a naughty girl! But i like the way you sleep soundly in my arm, as i know, as day pass, you will grow bigger and bigger and i will have less chance to cuddle you in my arm.

Dinner with the Goh Family

Today, Jasmine and her parents come all the way from Hong Kong. Uncle James told daddy that he will bring you along to airport to pick up Jasmine and the rest and both daddy and mummy will meet with you us at his house around 7pm for dinner.

So where to go for dinner? We are going for Nyonya food at the Hai Nan Town at Weld Quay area. We reached the restaurant close to 8pm and the rest of the Goh family members are there waiting for us. Food are quite delicious and both you and Jasmine being seated side by side. While waiting for food to be served, you were busy walking and running around, and not forgetting to ask us to bring you to see ferry. Luckily the waiting time is short and very fast, we get to start our dinner.

As you can see from the pic below, the pic already give everyone an idea how delicious the food is. Uncle Peow specially order fried egg with tomato for you and Jasmine. For the rest of us, we had loh bak, sambal petai, curry, and other types of nyonya food. Yummie.

After dinner, each of us had dessert! What's the dessert that we have? It's mummy's favourite. It's black glutinous rice with coconut milk! Yum Yum, i had daddy's portion as well! After dessert, it's close to 10pm and It's time to go home as all of us need to work and you need to go to school on the nest day. We need to drag you from the place as you keep insisting want to see ferry.

The day before Mother's Day

It’s Mother’s Day eve and this year it’s a bit special as you are performing at QBM. Yes, you are performing, LOL! 1 month ago when teacher Margaret ask for my permission to let you participate in the performance, my first reaction was “are you sure Kelvin can do it?” Well, I am not the only one, according to teacher Margaret; all parents have the same question when she told them their kids going to participate in the dance. 12 of you go on intensive class,and mummy only see u dancing once, and what I can say is merry, LOL!

We went to QBM with ah kong, ah ma, second aunt and her friend. Yes, second aunt came back one day earlier as she being told by ah ma that you are going to dance in QBM! Due to lack of time, mummy only shared a glass of soya bean with you at Canton-I then quickly brought you to the assembly place to meet up with all of your friends.

When we were there, we being greeted by crying sound of few od your friends, mummy so worry that you will join them crying. Luckily you didn’t. You keep looking for one of your friend and when it’s almost time to get up to the stage, your friend show up and he refused to change into the dancing costume. So at the end, you brought him to the back stage and he agrees to change. But, after that, he refused to get up to the stage, and as the result you also refuse to get up to the stage. Duh!

The event only took around half an hour, after that everyone start to leave the place. Guess what, after that you went up the the stage with 2 of your friends, and 3 of you run around on the stage. Mummy know that you doesn’t scare of going up to the stage, as during my cousin sis’s wedding, you were running and dancing on the stage. Sigh, if earlier you dance on the stage with the rest of your friends, how nice it will be!

At night, mummy did a conversation with you as I want to understand from you why you refuse to go up on the stage.

Mummy: Why you don’t go up to the stage and dance?
Kelvin: Because I scared
Mummy: scared? Why scared?
Kelvin : I scared my friend bang on me
Mummy: LOL! Your friend won’t bang on you, everyone has their own spot to stand and dance
Kelvin : I dance dance and fall down and bang my friend
Mummy : ** slapped forehead**

My little one has thousand and one reason to defense himself why he doesn’t dance on the stage with other friends. LOL!

My Mother's Day gift

Today, when i went to pick up my 2 sweetie pies, i received this from the school!

I remembered, last year, i just receive a simple standard Mother's Day card, but this year, i receive a personalised photos.

Thanks to my 2 sweethearts, Kelvin and Kaitlyn. Mummy love both of you sooooooooooooooo much!
