Sleep,Play,Sleep

Dear baby,

Guess what! You slept at 8:45pm last night. Mummy so happy seeing you fall asleep after i nursed you. But then.....around 10:45pm, you make some noise and i tried to nurse you so that you will continue to sleep, who knows, you make "eaaak" noise, as if you want to vomit. This is the sign that you usually show us when you are full or when you don't want to take any milk. Then, mummy carry you out from the room and when you see daddy, you so excited. Why? Hmm...because usually, every night, daddy will bring you for a short walk at the garden nearby our apt.

Daddy let you sit on his lap and let you play with my dressing table's drawer. Daddy will open the drawer and you will kick and close the drawer. So cute....

Then, when we put you on the bed, you started to roll over. Mummy purposely turn you back and you cry, you want to roll over. And mummy put you in your cot, and the next thing is, you roll over to my bed...hahahaha!

Middle of the night, after mummy wake up to express milk, mummy move you back to your cot and i am so worry that you may roll over. I have to hold on your hand while we both sleep. But it's so sweet to hold your hand and sleep.

Fire cracker noise

Amazing!! You are not frightened by the fire cracker's noise on last night when people doing the day 9th prayer.I was so worried that you may frightened by the fire crackers noise but somehow you didn't! You just feel annoyed when the noud noise disturb you from sleeping sweetly. Mummy seeing you turen your head left right lrft right then started to cry out softly. When i hold you close to me, you stop crying.

This morning, when i wake you up, you smile at me and i smile back at you. Suddenly, you cry! hahaha..stupid me! You smile at me coz you are hungry, and who knows, i smile back at you and continue with my make up. When i let you lacth on for a while, you smile happily when daddy come into the room to carry you.

New sleeping request

Dear Baby,

You are getting smarter and smarter from day to you. Nowadays, you develop a new sleeping pattern. You will request mummy to hold you in my arm and sleep. U know, there is one phrase in hokkien "song tiok lu, kan koh tiok wah" hahahaha...it means, you are enjoying and i am suffering.Eventhough,it's a bit tiring for me as you are not very light, you are close to 8kg at 4mths old but when i see you sleep so sweet in my arm, all the tired feel will go away.

Mummy tried to cheat on you few times, but i failed. When i see you sleep so soundly, i slowly put you down on the bed. But the next thing will be, i will see you start rubbing your eyes, then slowly open your eyes, then slowly turn on your speakers and CRY!!! Omigosh!!! Make me feel so guilty nia. So i will have to carry you in my arm again, apologies to you...and you will keep on boxing me....YES, apologies to my dearest baby. Then i will keep on telling you "ok, baby, mummy promise wont leave you on the bed, mummy promise will hold you in my arm, mummy sorry" then only you will stop crying. You understand what i am saying or you already get what you want? Whatever....i onlu know that, holding you in my arm will make you sleep. In my arm, mummy's arm, not daddy's arm. Maybe you like my smell....mummy's smell :)

Yesterday went to uncle SuenChyi's house for steamboat,aunty Weng Tuan and aunty Eliza asked me how many kids i want. I wish to have 3 if i can, but 2 is ok. Daddy said 1 will do, he must be scared by you! hahahaha....Daddy said one is enough so that he will have more time and money to spend on you..what a good reason huh!Mummy want to get at least a sibling for you so that you wont feel so bored when you grow up. No worry, i will still love you deep deep.

yeah yeah!! Breastfeed baby is the best!

Study showed that breastfed baby is more successful than formula fed baby.

So, why you still hesitate between breastfeeding or formula feeding?? Of course go for breastfeeding!!! There is few advantages, let me tell you :-
1. You save around RM200+ per month. You may use the money for your massage of facial :p
2. Stonger bonding between mom and baby. Baby will choose mom rather than daddy! yeah!
3. Minimum investment (you don't have to pay for breastmilk) and MAXIMUM return (your kid will be so sucessful in future)
4. Lastly, baby will be SMARTER!

3rd day CNY - first time to restaurant

Today, another challenge for all of us.
We are going out for dinner in Loon uncle's restaurant. We try to figure out how to put you while we are eating. I suggested to let you sit in high chair and put a pillow to support your back. But second aunt said better don't. So end up, i brought along your stroller.

Daddy wake you up around 6pm for shower before we go out. And you scream like mad as daddy wake up you from your sweet dream. Later, when daddy and ah ma dress you up after shower, you show us your happy face. Mummy and you sit at the last row in ah kong's car and when we reach the restaurant, you refuse to let daddy and ah ma carry you...hahaha....you are so cute. You turn your head away when they want to carry you. Uncle kah met you for the first time and you don't let him carry, but ecause you are too chubby and cute, he don't care you want or don't want, he carry you from ah kong. You let him carry for a while before u cry. haha!

Ah kong let you sit on his lap before the dishes come. When we started to eat, mummy let you play in your stroller and you sat and played by yourself for about 15 mins and you get bored. You started to make noise, end up ah kong gotta carry you while eating. Later big aunt carry you aunt and uncle Kah and daddy went out to look after you.

Later, mummy went out to carry you. On the way back, you make noise. You must be very tired. You behave very very well in the restaurant. Good job baby.

We are suppose to come back to our apt, however, you slept in your cradle and refuse to open your eyes no matter how hard i call you. Notty boy

2nd day CNY

Mummy brought uncle Hwa and aunty Shuen to Queensbay Mall while uncle Boon came with his kids. Uncle Boon's wife want to "kindnap" you as she said 3 of his kids, none of them as chubby as you. Hahaha...this is the secret of breastmilk!!!!

You feel frustrated with the noise from uncle Boon's 3 kids and you let go your feel in cradle. Ah Ma said you "complain" non stop when they put you in cradle. hahaha!

1st day of CNY

Wow, today, lots of ppl will come to ah kong's house. Mummy started to feel worry..i wonder how you will feel when you sees so many strangers. It's your first time meeting some of mom's cousins , aunty and uncle.

To my surprise, you let everyone carry you! Wow, you are amazing! When everyone sees you, everyone want to carry you, because you are so chubby and cute. You played for almost 2 hours before you make noise. Time for nap, bye everyone :)

CNY eve - first trip to kopitiam

Dear baby,

You know what you did on CNY eve?
Daddy and me brought you to kopitiam!! yes, kopitiam, the shop without air cond. It's hawker center in english :) And dadday said one fat aunty saw you and touched your chubby face saying that u r a cute baby :)

Mummy and daddy ordered 'wan tan mee' and 'chee cheong fun'. While mummy eating, daddy carry you and walk around, we both take turn to eat and carry you.

I keep on thinking how to handle you while we are having our reunion dinner and baby,you are so smart, you can read my mind. You sleep while we are havinb our reunion dinner and when we almost finish our meal, you wake up and you didn't make any noise....you move in the cradle and the noise alert mummy that my baby boy wake up already :)

We sleapt at ah kong's house on new yr eve and mummy keep on waking up look at you when i heard fire cracker noise, and guess what, you sleep so sweet despite of the noise.

2 more days to CNY

Dear baby,
2 more days to CNY!!! Mummy so excited! I don't think you know to feel the excitement yet.hahaha! Then what mummy so excited with? Well, this is your first yr,collecting ang pow. Haha!

We probably will stay at home most of the time as most of our relatives will come to our house.Furthermore, the weather so hot, and i don't think u can stand the hot weather. Maybe, mummy will bring you to Qeensbay Mall again to enjoy the aircond..hahaha

Hopefully you are ok with the fire crakcker noise on CNY eve, well, we shall see.

Holiday mood?

Today mummy holiday mood.
First, i left my wallet and handphone in daddy's bag...so end up daddy need to turn back to Agilent.
Second, when i got my wallet back, i realised that my IC is in daddy's wallet!

Holiday mood??? should be!

It has been long long time mummy dont feel excited for CNY, but this year, i am super excited as this is the first CNY for you! A challenge for me! Why? Because you start to recognise stranger and mummy afraid you may cry when you see other relatives. When you get scared in daytime, mummy and daddy will have extra work at night as you tend to cry loud due to nightmare, pity you.

Besides, i am excited with holiday! yeah! Holiday means i can sleep longer :p

Diapers scare!

Came accross an article in one of the chinese newspaper regarding diapers on Valentines' Day! What a "woderful" thing!

CAP asks for ban on diapers with harmful substances
PENANG: Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) called on the authorities to ban diapers found with harmful substances that could make babies suffer from infertility and cancer later in life.
Its president S.M. Mohamed Idris said some babies also suffered from rashes, asthma and other health complications because of the toxic effects.
“Diapers laced with harmful substances that pose a threat to babies’ health should be removed from the market.
“We will be writing to the Health Ministry, highlighting our grave concerns,” he told a press conference on Wednesday.
Mohamed Idris said the government should take proactive measures to remove harmful diapers from the market.
Materials used in making diapers, include polyethylene film, polyester, polypropylene, pulp fluff from chlorine treated wood pulp, sodium polyacrylate and chemicals, such as tributylin, he said.
“These substances have been reported to cause severe skin irritation, bleeding from perineum and scrotal tissue, fever, vomiting and staphylococcus infections in babies.
“Babies are prone to chemical injuries because their thin skins readily absorb chemicals,” he said.

Happy Valentine's Day !

Happy Valentine's Day, Kelvin!

First Valentine's day with my dearest baby :)
V day is not only for daddy and mummy, but it's also for you too, my little angel!

You are such an adorable baby. Yesterday night on the way back from ah kong's house, you slept in the car and when mummy carry you in my arm, you show me your sleepy cum blur blur face. You met the opposite neighbor at the apt lobby and when aunty talk to you, you tried to sit up and look at her...so cute :) You sleep so sweetly yesterday nite, didn't make any noise and mummy don't have to use trick to make you sleep. Maybe mummy tell you that i am tired , so you don't disturb me? cool boy!

Another nitemare?

"waaahhhhh waaaahhh" suddenly we heard this sound while we tried to make you sleep. You were actually slept in my arm and out of sudden you cried out loud. The crying sound sounds like nightmare. Pity you, you must be scared by aunty who is not stranger to you on last sunday. How come yesterday you suddenly cry when aunty carry you? You started to recognise people?

Your rashes at the back doesn't get better... mummy feel that it's getting worst and worst. So sad seeing that :(

Ah Ma bought you new diapers, L size...wow, you are wearing L Size now .
Daddy: "See, told you don't buy so much diapers"
Mummy : " How i know our little boy grow so fast" (bottom in my heart, i felt happy that my littleb oy is growing so fast )

Praying trip

Dear baby,

Today, we brought you out to Kek Lok Si Temple for praying. We went out in Ah Kong's Innova. Daddy and mummy sit with you at the back and all the back's air cond being shifted to aim at you. You sit like a BIG BOSS in your car seat. Halfway, you slept in the car seat soundly. When we reached the temple, ah kong wake you up and carry you all the way. When we entered into the temple, you were attracted by the "chai shen ye" - God of wealth, i think so..hahaha. Mummy want to snap a photo of you with the "chai shen ye" but too bad , the lady said i am not allow to do so. Well , ok, then forget about it.

Daddy, muumy continued with praying.While you saw mummy praying with the candle in a vase, you so excited. When mummy passed the candle to you, it's so amazing!! You actually used your both hand to take it!We helped you to hold on the candle and let you pray to "kuan yim". After praying in the main hall, ah kong decided to bring you tour around in the temple. When mummy pregnant, once mummy and daddy tried to walk up to the another portion of the temple, we make it to the top but mummy was gasping throughout the way . Coz mummy clumsy during preggie !

You prayed to 四大金刚, then ah kong brought you to another temple in kek lok si where there is a fish pond in the temple and in the pond, there is fishes. You were attracted by the moving fishes. Obviously, you wont know it's fish, but u were attracted by things that moving!

We left Kek lok si after 1 hr and on the way back, traffic was bad. Ah Kong detour and you are like going for half penang island tour.hahaha!

At night, we wanted to bring you to Tesco, and we did!! Again, you sit in the car seat like big boss and you keep on playing the safety belt hook, keep turning it left and right as if you are driving. Hahaha!But when we reached Tesco, the traffic was so so bad. Unexpected !! Because it was already 10pm! Must be everyone doing last minute CNY shopping. Luckily we went there in 2 cars, so daddy and mummy bring you back home and Ah Kong they all can do whatever they want:)

Stranger Anxiety?

Dear baby,

You suddenly wake up from sleep and cry non stop no matter how hard mummy and daddy comfort you. Finally, you cool down and let mummy nurse you and you sleep in my arm. Phew...Seeing you cry til tears dropping down from both eyes. You even cried til sobbing. Mummy really heart broken.

You being scared earlier in Ah Kong's house when cousin sisters they all insist to carry you eventhough you refuse to let them carry? Don't worry, you are too cute! So everyone want to carry you.

2nd Triple Antigen/IM Polio and Hib Injection

Dear Baby,

You went for your 2nd injection last night.
It was first time you met Dr Mary.

Your weight is 7.4kg and Dr Mary doesn't know that mummy still breastfeeding you. So she said you are a bit overweight and asked what formula milk i gave you. Mom told her "it's mama formula milk".....Mummy still breastfeeding you!!! EXCLUSIVELY! Doc Mary thought mummy not working, sit at home nursing you all the while. Nope nope, mummy is working mum :)

Me and daddy had concern that you doesn't know to turn and Dr Mary let you sleep tiarap, and you lift your head and leg up...so according to her, as long as baby can lift their head up 90 degree, the baby should be able to turn. Dr Mary also check your hand and you grab her hand very tight :)

Your backside has some red spot and according to Dr Mary, it's caused by your weight...hahahaha! You are sleeping in play pant and cradle most of the time and it's curve in shape, so there is no support to your back. All your weight pressure goes to the back and caused redness. Gosh! So from now onwards, you need to sleep on HARD surface. Pity you.
When doc gave you injection, you actually cry for a while but later when mummy carry you, you stop crying but keep on "complaining". Grumble non stop.haha!

Preggie Reflections!

Time flies...i misses the time while i'm a preggie.
During preggie time, i always keep on talking to my baby, ask him quick quick come out, i want to see him...now he is 4 months old by today! Yes, 4 months only, ok!

Before preggie,
I shop at MNG, Islee, Naf Naf, Gurney etc...
I drink cham peng ~tea+coffee with milk, kopi-o, kopi peng, teh peng etc...
During preggie,
I shop at Modern Mom, Ribbons, Prangin Mall ,
I drink enfa mama Vanilla,
After delivered,
I shop at baby shops...sob sob, no time to shop for own
I drink soya bean, still NOPE to cham peng ~tea+coffee with milk, kopi-o, kopi peng, teh peng (coz all these got caffeine mah)

I started to miss preggie time where,
I started preggie with knowing 2 good friends ~ basin and toilet bowl,
I will vomit like no body's business after meal,
I will wake up from the bed like elephant,
I will walk like penguin,
I will eat like still not preggie (my baby controlling my appetite, don't want the mummy to be too fat, i guess)
I will get special parking lot at work from 7 months onwards(can go out anytime, no need to worry on where to park the car)

Today, 4 mths from the day i delivered my baby,
I sleep less and less, tend to wake up to check on my baby,
I eat like no body's business now (excuse is, breastfeeding ma, need more energy!),
No more special parking lot (need to walk far) ,
Thank god, dress size still remain as M ,
Ahem, Bra size and cup upgraded ...what size, for me to know, for u to figure out,
Hair count, from 1Millions hair drop to 900k and more to drop

For you, my baby ..
Diapers from NB to S, and now is M
Your clothes, from 4 drawers to 4 drawers + 2 bags
Your milk intake from 2oz -> 3oz -> 3.5oz -> 4oz t-> 4.5oz and of course mummy still direct nurse
I like seeing you sleep in my arm, i don't know how to describe that feeling
Hearing your "chup chup" sound while i nurse you, it make me feel that i am a great mom. (ahem, i am a proud mummy!)
One thing i am sure is, my love to you INCREASE from Day to Day!

Teleconference Baby

wow baby, you want to join mummy's weekly staff meeting...
This morning, you wake up at 650am, and mummy try to make you sleep, but you refuse. So no choice, mummy has to let you sit on my lap while attending my weekly staff meeting. You were so busy pulling my phone line, my mouse, touching my laptop...and, instead of mummy looking at the netmeeting shared screen, mummy need to look at your DoReMi music video. You were so excited seeing the mouse and cat (Tom and Jerry) run here and there.

Mummy wish i can let you stay at home with me today as i am working from home, but i don't think i can handle you as i need to work. So no choice, have to send you to school. You are so happy when aunty Margaret let you lay on your play pant. You are so cute :)

Sleeping style

Dear Baby,

Yday nite, mummy nurse you and you sleep sweetly in my arm. I love the time when hold you in my arm. It's the bonding feel that i don't know how to explain.

You developed a new sleeping style. Guess what! Your head is on my bed and your body is on your bed...and you turn urself 180 degree from the way i put you. Mummy turn you back to your original sleeping position, but a while later, again, you head is on my bed, near to my leg...cool !

This morning when daddy carry you down, you look so puzzle. Because you just wake up so a bit blur.

2nd nite in the cot

Dear baby,

You rolled yourself over from your cot to mummy's bed.....gave mummy a big shock and you were happily lifting your head and leg up.

You refused to sleep in your cot eventhough mummy is sleeping beside you. Daddy and mummy tried lots of tricks and attempts to make you sleep, but we failed. At last, we let you sleep in between us and middle of the night, mummy moved you back to your cot ^_^

Baby, you need to learn how to sleep in your own place. Don't worry, mummy wont leave you sleeo alone, we are sleeping in the same room, side by side :) When you open your eyes, you will see mummy or daddy around. Or if we are not in the room, just make some small sound or noise, we will attend to you as you are our central of attention now.

Baby cot

Mummu brought back your baby cot from Minden Height. You started to sleep back in your own cot again. However, could be due to it has been almost a month you didn't sleep by your own, so last night daddy and mummy had hard time making you sleep in your own cot.Finally, we managed to let you sleep in your cot, butttt.....around 1am...we heard noise "waaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh wwwaaaahhhhh" It's you,crying in your cot. Little boy,didn't you turn your head around and check? Mummy is just sleeping beside you.

Mummy tried to make you sleep and you did. Again, around 3:30am, another "waaaahhhh waaahhh" This time, daddy give up, daddy moved you to sleep between us,and you slept soundly.

Again, this morning, after mummy nurse you,mummy moved you back to your cot. Sorry baby, we have to do so, you need to learn how to sleep by own in your cot. Mummy ask you "are you going to sleep with daddy mummy forever?" and guess what, you throw a sweet smile back to mummy :)

Windy day

Today so windy. So daddy decided to bring you down to the small playground in our apt area for a short walk. Yes, it's a short walk.
Remember, daddy showed you COCONUT TREE. Can you recognise that? Nah, it's too early for you to pick up all these thing :)
You are so excited. Basically, you always excited with anything :)

When Ah ma carried you to their room, you saw ah kong sleeping, you are so excited and you shouted at a kong to wake him up. hahaha, you are so cute!You try to wake ah kong up from his afternoon nap :)

Second yi poh friends cam to ah kong's house. And you are busy "talking" and smiling with people. Good job, baby.

You started to sleep less and want to play more.

Time to wake up, go to school

Time to wake up, baby...time to go to school....mummy calling.

This may not sound familiar to you, but it's familiar to my little baby, Kelvin. I will say so to him every weekday morning to wake him up, get him prepared to school. You will wonder, "school?". YES, i send my little boy to nursery. And you may say "Are you crazy, he's so small, you send him to nursery?" Again, YES. Kelvin now is in DMonte nursery and there is one babysitter and teacher, taking care 3 babies. Kelvin is one of them.

Every morning, either myself or Terence, we will wake Kelvin up by saying "Time to wake up, baby...time to go to school...Daddy/Mummy calling". Then Kelvin will rub rub his eyes with his small little fingers and slowly open his eyes. Then we will carry him down and send him to the nursery neary our apt.

Dear baby,

See, as mummy told you, you will be able to sleep with mummy and mummy able to nurse yo u direct from last night onwards. Mummy didn't bluff you right? :) Yesterday night both of usoccupied the big bed and you actually occupied 75% of the bed.

Today is Thaipusam and 3 of us sleep late! We all wake up around 11am :)
Ah Kong Ah Mah and 2nd yi poh came to our apt to visit us and they "kidnap" you from mummy:(

You were so excited playing with the Nemo fish, and mummy let you lay down on the big Winnie The Pooh carpet.

Wonderful baby boy

You did a great job this morning. When mummy dropped you at the nursery, you didn't cry :) Cool, good job.
