Day 1 in toddler class

One day after you turned 21 months, daddy and mummy had a serious discussion and the conclusion is, we will move you to toddler class starting today. So today, 2 days after you turn 21 months, you are officially part of the kids in the toddler class.

In fact, we wanted to send you to toddler class in Jun, however, after thorough discussion with Ms Goh and uncle James, we decided to let you stay in baby class til end of this year when all the 3 yrs old kids moved to another class. And recently, since they are moving to another new building and combining baby class with toddler class (baby upstairs and toddler downstairs) and at the same time, they moved all the 3 yrs old kids to another building, so left all those 2 yrs old toddler in the toddler class. So it's time for us to make a move.

The toddler class started at the new building on Monday, and Ms Goh and uncle James brought you to the toddler class for few hrs trial and you seems enjoying yourself there very very much. At the same time, teacher Miena is there and you kinda close to her as she used to take care you in baby class. As for teacher Margeret, she isn't any stranger to you as everytime when you sees her, you will call her "teacher Margeret"

This morning, we wake up earlier a bit as we need to accompany you few more mins at the new place, as soon as we reached the new place, we were greeted by teacher Grace, teacher Margeret and teacher Miena. To our surprise, you let teacher Margeret carry you into the class. Teacher Margeret turn on the music for you and you told her "o Mcnona" when she told u she's playing the "Old Mcdonald" song for you. You then keep saying "EIEIO." After a while, here come Ms Goh and uncle James, as soon as you see them, you started to walk around exploring the new place. Daddy and mummy left to work after we say bye bye with you. And you even wave with mummy.

Even though you do not show any sign of missing us , however, mummy still walk out the place with heavy heart, keep thinking what you will do when Ms Goh and uncle James leave the place, will you be able to cope with the new environment, will you cry when u misses daddy and mummy Ms Goh and Uncle James, as Ms Goh and Uncle James usually will "kidnap" you from baby class and bring you to their house 2 times per day.

Well, guess what...all my worries gone with the wind when i received a sms message from Ms Goh updating me with your progress. Besides, teacher Margeret also sms mummy to update me with your progress. Today's menu for toddler is wan tan mee with soup. Earlier, they afraid you may not like it, so they get Mdm Chuach to include your portion while cooking porridge for baby class. However, you love the wan tan mee soooo much, so you didn't take any porridge. Sms keep coming into mummy's inbox updating me your progress, you do cry for a while looking for uncle James and Ms Goh, however, teacher Margeret able to calm you down.

My last sms from teacher Margeret is, you are sleeping now. You just finish half of the milk before taking your afternoon nap, i guess your stomach being filled up with wan tan mee, no more space for your favourite milk.

Daddy and mummy are so proud of you, good job and well done, sweetie!

  1. Joanne,

It is very brilliant choice of you to choose this nursery for Kelvin.
I can see that Kelvin is really well-taken care of in the nursery. Take heart. He will definitely do fine there.
You should have no worries about Kelvin already.
