Day 6 - Bye Bye Japan

Bye Bye Japan! Today is our last day in Japan, we are heading home. Daddy and mummy wake up at 6:15am, get ourselves ready before you open your eyes and greet us "Good morning!". Mummy ordered room service the day before as we want the breakfast deliver to our room by 6:30am. The breakfast arrived at our room on time and the room service guy quite considerate, instead of ring the bell, he knocked on the door, so the sound doesn't wake you up from your sweet dream!

Daddy and mummy has to wake you up at 7am! Luckily there isn't any noise from you. You wake up and smile happily. We gave you a quick shower and some porridge then it's almost time for us to leave the room!

The hotel pre-arranged the cab for us per daddy's request and you waved and say bye bye to everyone, then we started our 1 hour journey to the Narita Airport. 3 of us fall asleep on the way to the airport. When we reached the airport, there is lots of people queueing up at the MAS counter.

After check in, we had our breakfast at the airport as we know the in flight food will be so so only. As soon as we finished the breakfast, time for us to proceed to the gate. Again, we get priority to go on board before others.

As expected, food so so only. It took around 7 hrs flying time from Narita to KLIA. And luckily you sleep for quite long hour in the flight. We reached KLIA close to 5pm and initially our next flight is at 6pm, and who knows, the flight delay til 7:10pm. So we had our dinner at KLIA.

Finally, we on board to the flight that bring us back to Penang. There is slight delay though. We touched down Penang Airport at 8:15pm. It's a long and tiring journey for 3 of us. Hopefully you enjoy the trip! Looking forward for our next family trip!

Day 5 at Japan

You started your day with this...You wake up from sleep, walked to your luggage bag, sleep on the bag and when mummy asked whether you want me to take your pic, you replied " yes, want!"

Today can be consider as our last day in Japan as we are flying back to Malaysia on tomorrow morning. Initially, daddy and mummy plan not to go anywhere, just wondering around Shinagawa, however, due to daddy gets some request from his colleague to get them Burberry Blue Label.

We had our breakfast, then bath then off we headed to the train station.So where to go? Ginza!
It's Saturday, so there is lots of people walking on the street. They even close the entire street and put table and chairs at middle of the road for people to sit and relax!

We walked all the way from the train station to Burberry shop. There is one toy shop beside Burberry shop, so after we are done with the Burberry Blue label shopping, we went to the toy shop. You were so excited seeing all the toys! However, after a while, you started to whine and we realised that geez, it's already 1:30pm! Luckily mummy brought along some bread for you. However, as soon as you spotted train track at one of the corner in the shop, you get carried away by it. So again, we need to drag you out from the place, and daddy bought you a train set. And that's how we managed to drag you out from the store. As soon as we drag you out from the store, you started to whine as you said your are hungry and sleepy.

We bought bento set from the departmental store at the train station, then off we headed back to Shinagawa. You dozed off in the train and poor daddy need to carry you together with the 2 "valuable" Burberry Blur Label bags that he bought for his colleagues.

You slept for one hour and wake up. Mummy asked whether do you want to play with the new train set, without any doubt, you answered, "I want!"

This is how you keep yourself entertained with the train set.

There is 3 different character in the train set,and you said one is the uncle cho-cho train, one is you and one is mummy. Where is daddy? Must be daddy busy paying money and missed the train ride, haha!

At the evening,we went to nearby shop for dinner and at the same time do our last minutes shopping for souvenir! You started to show sleepy sign around 8:30pm, daddy and mummy gotta hurry up with the last minutes shopping. Who knows, as soon as we are back to hotel room, your battery seems fully charged! However, we need to force you to go to the bed as we are leaving the hotel at 7:30am tomorrow and you need to get up as early as 7am! As usual, you will make noise, keep telling us you wanna poo-poo as soon as we switch off the light. However, after several round of false alarm and negotiation, you finally decided to go to your lala-land.

That's our day 5 in Japan.

Day 4 at Japan

Due to previous day experience, you feel sleepy while we were visiting the Kawasaki Daishi temple, so today we decided to let you have your afternoon nap then only go out. You woke up around 4pm, and we went to the restaurant opposite the hotel for tea break/early dinner. We ordered spaghetti for you and you love it so much. I guess you must be missing all the food that you used to take when you were in Malaysia.

After that, we start our journey to Harajuku. Mummy supposed to visit the 100 yen shop at Harajuku, however, as soon as we walked out from the Harajuku train station, mummy too excited to find out where is the Kiddy Land. Apparently, the 100Yen shop and Kiddy Land is at different direction, so since mummy promise that i will get you some toy from Kiddy Land, so i gotta keep my promise. Along the way to Kiddy Land, we passed by few shops but somehow as mummy mentioned before, i am pregnant and there is no way i can guess what size of clothes i will be able to fit myself in after deliver, so i dropped the idea to shop for clothes even though i saw some which is quite nice!

Finally, we reached Kiddy Land. As soon as we stepped into Kiddy Land, you get so excited!Initially mummy thought we will spend about 30 mins in the shop, but end up we spend 1.5 hr in the shop. You keep asking for Thomas train, and poor daddy gotta bring you up to each floor to look for Thomas train while mummy slowly enjoy "sight seeing" at each floor. There is lots of interesting stuff in each floor consists of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Snoopy etc.

You seems super excited when you see Thomas train and immediately you stop nagging and start exploring everything. And there is one train track and you refused to leave the shop no matter how we coax you. And we have no choice but to drag a noisy toddler out from the store as it's almost time to leave and go to other shop.

The next shop is Oriental Bazaar, we bought you one t-shirt with lots of sumo printed on it and also one yukata. It's around 8pm and the sky so dark as if it's already 10pm!

So what's next, dinner time! We went to Fujimamas for dinner. We ordered rice, tou fu and vegetable soup for you. And too bad, the veggie soup is creamy type and you don't seems enjoy it. You ate a bit and decided to play. After dinner, it's time to back to Shinagawa.

We reached hotel around 9:30pm, daddy and mummy feel exhausted, but you seems super energetic. Coz, you insisted that daddy carry you throughout the trip, that's how your battery still fully charged. Poor daddy, every night he will complain that his hand is so painful. Can you imagine, carrying a 12kg toddler for almost 5 hrs? hahaha!

We managed to tug you to bed around 10:30pm.

Day 3 at Japan

As usual, we started our day by having breatkfast at the hotel. And after breakfast, you will tend to mess up the room for a while before taking your bath.

Daddy bring us to Kawasaki, the place where Dell office is located. The train ride from Shinagawa to Kawasaki is about 6 mins, but somehow, due to the timing, we went there during lunch time, so the train quite pack and we don't get any seat. You were holding at the ring while daddy carry you. We went to Kawasaki Plaza, and too bad, mummy don't get to buy any new clothes for myself as i can't tell what size i will be wearing after delivery. So i guess daddy feel relief as mummy don't get to shop for clothing and shoes!

We were attracted by the mickey and minnie mouse at the entrance of The Loft. This is where you start to get to know who is mickey mouse. Before this, you only know Thomas the train, Pooh and Barney. And again, it's time for lunch. We had our lunch at the food court. You enjoy slurping the noodle.

After lunch, we decided to visit the Kawasaki Daishi. As we need to use the Keikyu line in order to get to the Kawasaki Daishi, thus, we need to walk all the way from the JR station to Keikyu Station. It's a long walk and at the end, we decided to take cab to the temple. It costs us 1250 YEN from the train station to the temple. It's a big temple!! We spend less than 30 mins there as you start to show your sleepy look to us. From Kawasaki Daishi to the nearest Keikyu Kawasaki station, it will be about 100 meters walk,so we decided to take cab back to the train station. So, another 1250 YEN spend.

You dozed off in the train, and poor daddy has to carry you all the way back to hotel room. You waked up around 5:30pm, and we decided to start with anothe round of amazing race. Where to go? It's the Yokohama Chinatown(Yokohama Chukagai). This time, we chosen the "best" time, as it's off office hour. So when we were at the train station, we get to see how those people squeeze themselves into the train. It's kinda interesting as you can see people keep squeezing themselves into the train even though the train is already so pack. We didn't squeeze with them, instead we waited for next train. Mainly, mummy has a BIG TUMMY, so i dare not squeeze with the rest. The next train came in around another 2 mins, and we managed to get ourselves into the train even though it's packed with lots of people.

We get down from Yokohama station, then need to change to Minato Mirai Line.

And guess what??? As soon as we came out from the Minato Mirai Line station, it's raining! Luckily mummy brought along a long sleeve and cap for you, so we quickly dressed you up and rushed to the nearby 7-11 store to get 2 umbrellas! You were so excited seeing both daddy and mummy holding umbrella. Poor daddy has to carry you and the umbrella at the same time. We walked to the Chinatown and went to one of the Chinese restaurant for dinner. We ordered Tou Fu for you and you enjoy the meal very very much. I guess you must be missing Tou Fu for many many days! After dinner, it's still raining, so we didn't walk around the Chinatown. What a waste!

That's our day 3 in Japan.

Day 2 at Japan

Today, we wake up around 9:30am. Daddy went to work around 8:30am while you still in your sweet dream. As such, as soon as you wake up, you started to make noise as you keep look for daddy. Since it's only 2 of us, so mummy decided to have the room service again. So, what we have? American breakfast on the bed!

After breakfast, it's shower time. Mummy needs to constantly remind you NOT TO stand in the bath tub and you tell me "promise". Not sure whether you understand the word "promise" or not, haha!

After bath, you started to make more and more noise, one moment look for daddy, one moment glu to mummy, one moment said want to go out. And as usual, you will start with crying, do all the nonsense until mummy open the door and both of us walked out from the room, then only you keep quiet and walk happily. DUH! You forgot that daddy is not with us, so you gotta walk most of the time as mummy won't be able to carry you for too long. We went to the concierge area and ask for direction, then off we started our amazing race!

We didn't take train, we only walk to the nearby shopping complex. When it says nearby, it's about 15 mins walk. We need to walk pass the Shinagawa JRStation. We were kinda exhausted when we reached the shopping complex. There is east and west wing for the complex, but we only visited the east wing. We walk around the departmental stall and then proceed to the food department and bought the bento set. It's way pass the lunch time, and you told me you are hungry, so quickly, we choose the bento and headed back to hotel.

On our way back, i guess you are tired and hungry, so you refuse to walk, and mummy cannot carry you as i need to carry the lunch box. So we walk, stop, walk, stop, and it took us almost 30 mins to reach our room. As soon as we reached our room, you jump on the couch and ask for lunch.

While we were enjoying our lunch, daddy called back and asked where were we earlier. I guess he worried that both of us will get lost in Shinagawa. hahaha! While we were eating lunch, mummy feel the floor is moving and i didn't think of earthquake. And around 3:15pm, daddy called back and told mummy that it was earthquake few mins ago.

Whether it's earthquake or whatsoever, it doesn't really matter you much as you started to show sleepy sign after the lunch, and you asked for milk. You dozed off within 5 mins. And mummy quickly take my nap together.

Daddy back from work around 5pm and you were still sleeping. After a while, you wake up and as soon as you see daddy, you greeted him with a sweet smile. You then take your bath then we went out for dinner at the street opposite where we stayed.
We walk around and went to Queen's Isetan to get fruit. Guess what we bought from there? Not persimmon, but it's Peach! Initially, mummy thought we can enjoy eating persimmon in Japan, but too bad, the price for persimmon is more expensive than peach. You told mummy it's Big apple! You love it so much, i guess mainly it's sweet and soft. After the fruit, you ate the Inari that mummy bought in the afternoon. You ate the tofu skin and leave the rice behind.

It's around 10:30pm and we have to drag you to the bed, and let you have your regular 11oz of milk so that you will go to lala-land. Seems like you are quite tired as you doze off pretty fast. That's our Day 2 in Shinagawa, Japan.

Day 1- Japan here we come!

Today, daddy mummy wake up around 6am, get ourselves ready, then around 7am go to airport for the check in. We leave you at home with Ah Kong. There is some minor problem with our reservation, the MAS online booking doesn't link your name with mine. Luckily the ground crew very helpful, he helped to link your name to mummy and it take us around 30 mins for the check in. By the time we reached home, it's around 8:10am, thank goodness, ah kong already give you a quick bath and get you change. And after a quick breakfast, ah kong send us to the airport.

It's 8:40am, as soon as we reached the airport, it's boarding time. And we have the priority to go in as we are travelling with infant. We get the second row and since there is no one else beside us, then you get to sit by yourself. The flight take off at 9am and throughout the journey you quite cooperative. We reached KLIA around 9:50am, and since we are taking international flight and it's at another terminal, so we have to walk. And our next flight is at 11am, so not much time

for us to wonder around the airport. We quickly walk to the international gate, clear immigration, then proceed to gate H2. By the time we reach gate H2, there is long queue.

You had your milk before we go on board to the next flight. Around 10:30am, it's boarding time, and again, we get to go in before others. As only mummy managed to get the front row so daddy need to swap the seat with other. Daddy actually managed to swap the seat with a nice gentleman, however, the cabin crew told us that, even we are sitting at front row, however, there isn't much space for us to put the bassinet and furthermore, the max weight for bassinet is 11kg and you are a bit overweight for it. DANG! Wasted all our effort to talk with MAS customer service for 1 hr over the phone asking for front row.

Once everyone on board, the crew leader help us to free up a row of 4 seats, and let 3 of us have the seats. Thank goodness, this is even better as daddy wont be able to carry you throughout the 7 hrs flight. You are so lucky that you get to sit all by yourself. The flight take off around 11:15am, 15 mins later than the anticipated time. You were kinda excited when we tell you that the flight going to take off, you look so serious. haha!

As soon as we unbuckle you, you decided to move around. And guess what, you even crawl underneath the seat and come out from the row behind us. Geez, and the uncle who sits behind us had a good laugh at you. Mummy requested baby food for you and you don't like it at all, so throughout the journey, you only take milk and some bread that we brought from home. Poor boy! And you slept for around 1 hr and wake up, i guess you don't feel comfortable sleeping on the seats. Then later, you decided to walk around in the plane.

Finally, we reached Japan around 7:15pm. Daddy did a pre-arrangement so as soon as we exit from the terminal, the taxi driver is waiting for us. It takes around 70 mins from Narita Airport to where we stay, The String Hotel at Shinagawa. On the way, you feel sleep and sleep in daddy's arm. And you wake up when we reached the hotel. You told mummy that you are hungry and we ordered room service, as 3 of us too lazy to go out from the room for dinner/supper. We had deep fried chicken, fried noodle, rice and soup. You enjoy eating the food very much, i guess you are too hungry. After that, you get to take your bath and we go to bed around 11pm.

My music box

Ever since we moved you from baby class to playgroup, you seems pick up lots of new skill. You are getting better in your singing and dancing. Sometimes, you will even sing together with mummy. Here are your favourite songs:-

And for some of the song, you can even sing it by yourself, of course not the whole song, only part of the song.

Few nights ago, mummy sang the Rock a bye baby for you at night and to my surprise, you able to sing it together with me, looks like it doesn't waste my effort to sing the song to you at night for the past one year, you are actually picking up the song without telling mummy. And Luckily i didn't simply sing any self created bed time song for you.

Crazy with Taxi

Ever since we back from KL trip, you seems excited when you see taxi on the road. Sometimes you will even tell daddy to park his car and take taxi.
Kelvin : taxi, daddy park car, take taxi
Mummy: cannot, police will come and catch mummy if we park car by the road side
Kelvin : Police, NO (together with waving his hand indicating no), cannot take mummy
Mummy: LOL, **inside my heart, feel so sweet, as my little one showing his love to me**

And recently, you are getting even better with the skill.
Kelvin: uncle taxi come, pick up Kelvin
Mummy : where you want to go?
Kelvin: go kai kai
Mummy : what you want to do
Kelvin : mum mum
Mummy: Can you buy mummy one chee cheong fun
Kelvin : *nod the head indicating ok *

And sometimes, you will even "bluff" us by telling us taxi is outside the house waiting for you.
Kelvin : *finger on the mouth" shhhh, taxi come
Mummy : where is the taxi
Kelvin : *Point out to the main door* Over there!
Mummy : LOL

Japan VISA approved

Daddy submitted mummy and your VISA application on last Thursday and both of our VISA approved. We received the passport back on yesterday. So means, we are ready for the trip! We are leaving in 1 week time.

However, mummy still haven't start with the packing list. I know i know, i must get it done ASAP and review the list everyday to make sure i wont miss out anything, especially for you. And probably we need a BIG BAG just for you and another bag for daddy and mummy. We need to bring along some of your toys and of course your "smelly bolster" that it's a MUST for you to go into your lala-land. Hmm..what else we need to bring along?

二十二个月的宝贝, my baby @ 22 mths

这次，妈咪决定不要记录下你二十二个月的成长过程，妈咪将我的感想记录下来。

看着你一天比一天懂得更多东西，妈咪不得不认老。时间过得真快，你现已经是个二十二个月的宝贝。仿佛一切才由昨天开始。

从你瓜瓜落地，第一次翻身，第一次学爬，走你的第一步，第一声叫爸爸，妈妈，爹咪，妈咪，这一点一滴我好怕我会忘记，但妈咪答应你，我会尽我所能，将这一切记录下来。

好久没将你报在怀里入睡，好想念那时刻。好想念哄你入睡的时刻。现在每天早上你一起身，就会叫爹咪，妈咪，因爹咪，妈咪不停的叮咛你不可擅自下床，因妈咪怕迷迷糊糊的你会摔倒。

宝贝，妈咪现在无法跟你玩得很颠，因妈咪的肚子一天比一天的大，妈咪不晓得你会不会埋怨妈咪，希望你能体量妈咪。我也很想把你紧紧报在怀里。

两个月后，你就两岁了。时间过得真快!

For this 22 mths update, mummy decide not to jot down your progress, instead, mummy will write down my feeling.

Seeing you getting "mature" , talk and talk more words day by day, mummy has to admit that i am getting older and wiser *wink*wink*! You are not at your 22 months, however, it seems that everything just happen yesterday.

From the moment you are born, the first time you turn around, your first crawl, your first step, the first time you call out papa, mama, daddy, mummy, mummy afraid that i may forget, but, mummy promise you, i will jot down as much as i can.

Has been quite some time mummy doesn't let you sleep in my arm, i misses the moment. Nowadays, every morning when you wake up, you will call out daddy, mummy loudly as mummy keep reminding you not to come down from the bed by yourself as mummy afraid you may still in sleeping mode and fall down.

Baby, nowadays, mummy wont be able to play with you like before as mummy's tummy is getting bigger and bigger and mummy is getting clumsier and clumsier. Hope that you wont feel that mummy not love you. In fact, mummy wish to hug you tight tight!

In less than 2 mths time, you will be celebrating your 2 years old birthday. Time flies!

Weekend!

This is how you spend your weekend at Ah Kong's house. There is a big space behind the house for you to run around .....Daddy and mummy snjoy spending time with you at the garden, seeing you running around happily. Mummy enjoy seeing you running around, laughing out happily and loud, and also chasing after the poor dog. Childhood is the best time!

Our new home sweet home

Finally, after few mths of waiting, daddy and mummy manage to get the key for our new home sweet home. You are so excited running around the house, going up and down without feeling tired.However, after spending about 2 hrs in the house, your battery seems a bit low and you started to rub your eyes, walking like a drunk person knocking here and there, so we decided to make a move.

Daddy and mummy feel glad that you like and love the new house. **According to old people, if the kid like the house, then the house is good to live in. **

Yogurt time

Every morning, mummy will give you one yogurt before sending you to nursery. And you love it so much. Every morning as soon as wake up from sleep, you will tell me, "mummy, i want yogurt." This is a pic of you holding your yogurt with sleepy look.Mummy bought you Nestle yogurt before and you don't seems enjoy eating it. Thus, mummy switch to Calciyum yogurt and you love it so much. Usually it comes with 8 in one pack, with 4 flavors, strawberry, vanilla mango and grape. You love all of them soooo much.

Sometimes, whenever you see me open the fridge's door, you will run to the kitchen and keep telling me "yogurt yogurt!", then mummy need to distract you with other thing and keep reminding you, "sweetie, you can only take one yogurt per day!" and daddy will quickly bring you out from the kitchen. haha!

Flight Ticket booked!

Finally, mummy booked the air ticket online for me and you as daddy's ticket is paid by his company. Thanks to Aunty Angeline for telling me online booking maybe cheaper, and it is! It's cheaper by RM1000 ! That's a lot huh! (ok ok , aunty Angeline, i know what u will say then, i will get something for you from Japan, ok!)

Mummy tried to book the ticket online with my credit card and somehow the transaction get denied. Hmm..daddy limit my credit limit afraid that i may swipe the card like no body business when we are in Japan ? *wink wink* So, anyway, daddy offer his credit card to me and taaa daaa...mummy managed to book the ticket for me and you.

Again, Aunty Angeline told me that i can call up MAS and informing them that i am travelling with infant and need front row, so mummy called up MAS and managed to get front row for me and daddy and at the same time get a bassinet for you. I don't think you will sit in the bassinet.

Mummy so excited with the trip and daddy so worry with us as mummy is getting clumsier and clumsier with the big tummy. He keep asking mummy whether can i handle you when he is working. Well, that one worry later, mummy will find way to keep you entertained while daddy at work!

In less than 3 weeks time, we will be flying to Japan! When mummy told you that we are going for holiday trip sitting in aeroplave, you responded to me, "want aeplane wwwuuuu" This is your first international holiday, we flew to KL once when you were 5 months old, too young for you to recall the trip. Hope you will enjoy the trip!

How i torture mummy when daddy is away

Daddy had a seminar at Gurney hotel on yesterday, and he brought me and mummy along. However, we didn't go into the function room together with daddy, instead, i walk run around the hotel with mummy.

First, i decided to check at the carpet.

After i make sure everything is ok, i decided to lye down for a while.

Mummy keep asking me to wake up and i told her i am sleeping. DUH! So since mummy keep ask me to wake up then i wake up and run around again!

Then, we went to the hotel lobby and i find that the environement there is good for yoga.

And again, mummy asked me to stand up and tell me the floor is dirty. Sigh, i don't know what is in her mind, i am doing yoga and she keeps disturbing me. Since mummy insisted that i need to stand up, so i stand up and we went back to the waiting hall outside of the function room.

Mummy told me she's going to bring me for holiday with aeroplane, and i let me show you how aeroplane fly huh

After about 1.5 hrs with mummy, i started to make some noise, shhhhh..let me tell you why...coz i want to poo poo and i started to look for daddy.Then mummy sms daddy seeking for help and daddy came out from the function hall and brought me to the hotel lobby to get my diaper changed. Then, off we headed home.
