My belated Mother's Day present from Kelvin

Yesterday night on our way back after dinner, i asked Kelvin whether he would like to sing Jay Chow's 听妈妈的话 and let me record in my cellphone, and happily he said he want!

Well, this little boy of mine, he can't speaks mandarin well, but he can't remember part of the lyrics after we let him watch the MTV for few times. **thumbs up**

Money

My weekly telecon going to start in another 8 mins time, and hubb is not at home. Me and the 2 kids still at my parents house ....my dad want to go out to buy something, so he and my mom together bring the 2 kids along with them. And i teased my little girl by telling her remember to buy me some food, and guess what she said to me??? She said...."Money"

I was so shocked when i heard her respond..Seems like my little girl does aware that she needs money if she wants to buy something. LOL!

打在你手, 痛在我心 I feel so pain though

I was so upset with Kelvin recently. I guess he's growing up and no longer mummy's boy, he has his own thinking though. I found it it's very hard to make him do something and i need to keep repeating myself for few times and sort of force him, then only he will do it.

Yesterday night, i was so mad at him and i told him i would like to introduce a new friend to him, "cane" and i will ask "cane" to make him remember my word. He told me he doesn't want, and he said will listen to me...then full stop.

Today, when i revised alphabet with him, he kept playing with me, refuse to hold his pencil properly. I spoke to him nicely for few times, asked him to hold the pencil nicely, but all these go to dead ears. after few attempts, fire is burning and i beat on his hand. He looked at me for few seconds and force himself to cry out. I can hardly see few drops of tears. When i see him crying, i am crying in my heart too. I feel so sad, upset for beating him, but i have no choice. Everyone tend to spoil him, and this little boy tend to live in his own fantasy world, everyone always praise him and when he does something wrong, everyone including me just talk to him nicely, no punishment, no scolding. But now, i think time to change.....all the while i kept telling myself, take it easy, he is yet to turn 4...but time flies, last month when i tell myself he is only 3 yrs and 6 mths boy, and this mth i tell myself he is only 3 yrs and 7 mths as compare to some of his friends who born in early of the yr, they are 4 yrs and x mths...but i know i can't escape from all these, need to face the truth, so i decided to be firm to him. Just hope that he wont hate me and understand my plight.

2 ice cream please...

Today while we were wondering around at Gurney Plaza....Kelvin saw McD and quickly dragged me to the ice cream counter. I ordered one sundae cone, but he told me,
"mummy 2, one for me and one for mei mei!"

So looks like he has no intention to share with his sister, so he asked me to get 2 ice cream. ** At least he ordered one ice cream for mei mei!** And to my surprise, he managed to finish the ice cream all by himself without any spill on himself. *thumbs up!* Or i guess he could be too hungry, so he wallap the ice cream in no time.

As for Kaitlyn, she finished almost 3/4 of the ice cream all by himself. Her grandpa did take some ice cream from her as one sundae cone could be too much for her as she's having light cough. She screamed and scared ah kong away, LOL!

Both kids enjoy the sundae cone very much and save my life as i can happily walk around, look around....no need to chase after 2 kids in the mall.

I am not a good mummy

Recently, my little girl can be considered 90% potty trained as during day time, whenever she wants to wee wee or poo poo, she will inform us. However, sometimes when we are out, i will let her wear diaper and she will still inform me when she feel want to wee wee, but....i will tell her to wee in diaper as i don't like to go to public toilet, unless no choice. I hope i won,t confuse my girl, but so far...**touch wood** she's pretty good in potty trained, no miss of wee wee without diaper. As for night time, i still let her put on diaper. Don't think she is ready to go diaper-less at night because her diaper still wet when she wakes up in the morning. However, every night before she sleeps, she will request me to bring her to toilet and when she wakes up in the morning, she will request me to bring her to toilet too.

Happy Mother's Day

I received Mother's day card from both my sweetie pies when i picked them up today. It's an early Mother's Day card. Both of their teachers asked the kids to give the card to me personally and at the same time give me a BIG KOALA BEAR HUG :) Thanks sweeties for the hand made card.

An evening at Penang Swimming Club

We decided to go to Penang Swimming club for dinner, because we want to let Kelvin sweat a bit as he's having mild running nose. Kelvin likes to play at the badminton court.

Both Kelvin and Kaitlyn ready for evening.
We ordered spaghetti carbonara for the kids and both of them love it so much. After dinner, Kelvin requested to go to the beach. To my surprise, he make the request, so i give another try to bring him to the beach. We brought him to the beach before and he doesn't like to walk on sand as he said the sand will dirty his leg *slapped forehead**. As for Kaitlyn, she doesn't show any fear at all when we let her walk on the sand. This little girl of mine even want to step further into the water and enjoy herself very much.After a while, we need to drag both kids from the beach and clean them up. And Kelvin spotted the motor boat parked at the sailing area. So....to kill their curiosity, we let both of them sit on the motor boat. And another problem arises, they refuse to come down from the motor boat. After few attempt of sweet talk, we managed to get Kelvin down and for Kaitlyn, we need to drag her down and of course, it comes with screaming and shouting for the little girl.Both kids look tired when we get into the car.......but from their facial expression, they enjoy their day very much!

Day trip to Taiping Zoo

This is the first time both kids being exposed to animals up close and personal. All the while, they only get to see the animals either from the book or TV, so finally, me and hubb decided to bring them to zoo. I told Kelvin about the plan few days ago, and on the night before, i guess he gets to excited and can't sleep well throughout the night. He wakes up middle of the night telling me he can't continue to sleep, duh...! Lesson learn, do not share the plan with the kids, let them have the last minutes surprise, else we ourselves will get back many many unexpected surprise from them.

On the day, Kelvin wakes me up real early and keep telling me that we are going to zoo and ask me to get myself ready. The lazy me still laze around and only get myself prepared around 9:30am. We let Kaitlyn to take a morning short nap so that she wont's get cranky while we are on our way to the zoo. By the way, we do invite my parents to go along and my dad actually is our driver of the day :) Kaitlyn wake up from her short morning nap around 10:00am, and we left the house around 10:30am. This is how we keep the both kids occupy in the car.
Few days before the trip, the grandpa purposely fix the "in-car" TV for the grandson. Thumbs-up for ah kong. So Kelvin being occupied by the "in-car" entertainment through out the journey. **daddy is so lucky as he gets to enjoy the entertainment with Kelvin** As for Kaitlyn..what did we do?? We prepared books, toys and food for her. LOL! She will ask me to read book for her, and play a while with the toy, then the rest of the time, she will eat. I brought along guava and she just loves it so much. Like mother like daughter, coz i love guava very very much!
After around 1hr's journey, Kelvin get a bit bored and keep asking when we will reach the zoo. And luckily by the time he asked, we are already at Kamunting area. We dropped by one of the coffee shop nearby the zoo for quick lunch. However, when we were on our way to get into the car, GOD started to wash his dirty laundries....,,few drops of rain fall onto me and as soon as we get nearer to the Zoo entrance, the rain gets heavier and heavier. However, this doesn't kill the kids excitement, Kelvin still very excited.

We gotta go into the Zoo with umbrellas, and our first pit stop is at the tram station. Even it's raining, but the weather still very hot. Before we start to walk around in the zoo, we already sweat like no body's business. As it's raining so it's not so convenient to walk around in the zoo with 2 kids. We waited for about 10 minutes for the tram. While waiting for the tram, the filial grandpa keep entertaining the little princess of mine to keep her happy. As for Kelvin, he is anxiously waiting for the tram.The zoo is so much bigger than what i expect. I've been to Taiping Zoo when i was kid, and my impression about the zoo is nothing much to see. But i am wrong. And thank goodness we made the decision to go round the zoo in tram.

On the night before, Kelvin asked me whether will he see leopard, lion in the zoo, i'm a bit skeptical, so i told him, i don't so. But i am wrong! We do see leopard and lion the Taiping Zoo besides seeing tiger, orang utan, deer, tapir, elephant, crocodile, giraffe, kangaroo, rhinoceros, peacocks, hippopotamus and etc. Kelvin very excited seeing all the animals even though it's almost his nap time as for Kaitlyn she's real tired as it's way pass her usual nap time.

When we finished touring the entire zoo in the tram , rain stopped, thus we decided to walk around with Kelvin to let him revisit the elephant meanwhile Kaitlyn preparing to have her sweet nap in her grandpa's arm. As soon as we reached the elephant area, we heard some loud thunderstorm and we quickly headed to the exit of the zoo to meet up with my parents. Yes, we did the correct decision because as soon as we reached the exit of the Zoo, heavy rain started.

On our way back to Penang, 2 kids take their sweet nap in the car...phew! Looking forward to more outing with the kids.
