Lunch with mummy's friends

Mummy has usual yearly gathering with my ex-colleagues from Dell. And as usual, you and daddy get to go for the gathering together . The more the merrier what!

We wake up quite late and since we are going for lunch with friends, thus, we skipped our breakfast. We dropped mei mei at ah ma's house then headed to QBM. You enjoy the food very well and after food, uncle James took some of your pics. Again, you showed us different type of facial expression.

After food, it's almost your nap time but you refuse to go home. You run around in QBM for a while while daddy went to get his car. Luckily you didn't make any noise when i drag you out from the mall. You fall asleep in the car while we were on our way back to ah Kong's house.

I took these pics in Oct2007and again...i took your many faces pic in Jan09. You seems able to show more different facial expression than before. You like to show mummy with all of your funny faces. And here are different type of faces that you showed mummy while we were on our way to QBM for CNY gathering with mummy's ex-colleagues.
I like seeing you with cheeky face. In fact, daddy and mummy "trained you up" with this cheeky face expression since you were around 15 months old. And the rest of the faces, you picked it up along the way through your observation and also from the playgroup activities in the nursery.

It's tea time!

Kelvin and Kaitlyn's nursery off for 3 days and both of them back to school on 4th day of CNY. Since me and my mom are members of The Heritage club from E&O hotel, and we have complimentary vouchers for Afternoon tea at 1895.

Since Kelvin is in school, so i asked hubb to pick up Kelvin from school and meet me, Kaitlyn,my parents and second aunt went to E&O. Before everything start, my dear little girl decided to make some noise to get everyone's attention! *slapped forehead* She decided to scream out of her lung, telling us that she wants to have her afternoon milk too! So quickly i warm up her milk and feed her, but she refused to take it, so poor grandma has to bring her out from 1895 and bring her walk around outside 1895 so that she wont disturb others enjoying their afternoon tea. Phew, luckily after a while, she decided to cooperate with us and goes to her lala-land and enjoy her sleep in her baby basket.

We started enjoying our peaceful tea and afternoon snack while waiting for Kelvin and hubb to join us. After a while, here come this little boy, running into 1895 restaurant and greet me, "mummy, i am here!". 1895 is sort of more "high class" restaurant in E&O, everyone there talk softly, except for us, LOL! First, it started with Kaitlyn's crying noise and then follow by Kelvin's cheerful sound. With this little one around, how can you talk softly. He started to run around and greet all the waiters and waitress in the restaurant, ask us to bring him out as he want to see the sea, want to see the canon! Yes, he still remember there is canon at the promenade area. He has been there for few occasion - Kaitlyn's full moon and also lunch with family members. So...the morale of the story is, do not lie to the kid, they have better memory than us! LOL!

So, ah kong quickly finish his snack and bring his precious grandson out to the promenade area. I quickly enjoy my scone and meet the grandpa and grandson out there. And so coincident, i saw there is lots of trishaw parked outside of the grandball room entrace of the hotel and i quickly grab the chance to introduce trishaw to Kelvin and let him sit on it. My grandma always told me that she used to bring me along with trishaw and nowadays our kid hardly, or never will have chance to sit on trishaw, so how could i miss this golden opportunity to let Kelvin sit on it. He looks a bit nervous when i put him on it, haha!
After that, as usual, a wild running at promenade area and again he asked for photo with his this big big canon! A short wild running and playing at the promenade area and then we gotta pull this guy back, else he will keep running wild until sunset and sunrise again!

We have one free stay at the hotel, and still can't decide when we want to use it, i guess Kelvin will be the most happy person if we claim for the free stay, he will gets to run non stop at the promenade area then.

Wedding dinner at City Bayview Hotel

Today is 3rd day of CNY, and it's also my cousin sister Ping's big day. She's getting married!!!So in the afternoon, i make sure 2 of the kids get their good afternoon nap and while both of them are sleeping, all the ladies in the house busy "tidy up" ourselves, eg, curl the hair, color the finger nails, toe nails, do quick mask etc...and both of them wake up just at the right time after everyone get themselves decorated ready.

Right before CNY, i managed to get a simple dress for Kaitlyn, to me, i feel the dress look sweet on her and she can wear it to the wedding dinner. As for Kelvin, we dress him up in chinese costume.

It's a buffet style wedding dinner, however, the dinner only started by 8pm. And when the new couple walk into the ballroom, they are not being lead by flower girl or page boy, but, they are being greeted with few kids standing beside the aisle and throw some waste paper on them. So, of course how can we miss my little boy out from the fun, so i stand beside him and teach him how to throw the waste paper to the newly wed!

Poor Kaitlyn gets disturb by the loud music at the wedding hall and she doesn't like it, so ah ma and and kong take turn to entertain her outside of the wedding hall. As for Kelvin, he enjoys the food, especially the butter! He basically taking the butter WITHOUT bread, OMG! And he did take some of the noodle, tou fu...after that he requested us to let him run around. He gets to meet with his cousins. Our next generation, need to admit i am old.

And guess what..suddenly Kelvin recall that there is a stage inside the ballroom, he gets so excited and he actually walked up to the stage and dance. Thank goodness, it's towards the end of the dinner, and not many people in the ballroom. I have to stand near to him afraid that he may gets too excited and fall from the stage.

My little alarm clock~ Kaitlyn told us that it's time to go back as she want to sleep on her comfy bed, so we need to drag Kelvin out from the ballroom and headed back to our home sweet home.

Happy Chinese New Year!

"On this Chinese new year, wishing everybody, wishing daddy mummy, gong xi gong xi gong xi, gong xi gong xi gong xi ni yah, gong xi gong xi gong xi ni! "

This is one of the Chinese new year song that our little one, Kelvin sing to us on Chinese new year. Last year, he is just 16 months old baby and doesn't know how to sing well, however, this yr, he is 27 old months baby and can talk and sing very very well, so, he learn the song from school and sing for us on Chinese new year.

On the first day of CNY, we laze around and only get ourselves ready around 9am, then we headed to my parents house. As usual, during CNY, we dressed up the kids. For Kelvin, he wear the traditional chinese costume and for Kaitlyn, she is too small, and i can't find any chinese traditional costume for her, so she is wearing her modern costume.

When we reached my parents house, apparently, my parents and aunts are waiting for us anxiously. To be precise, should be waiting for my 2 sweetie pies and not me and hubb! haha! The 2 kids received red packets from the grandparents and aunts, and so do we. Me and hubb still entitle red packet from my parents and aunts!

After all the red packet receiving and giving activities, we continue with our normal daily routine, which is, letting Kaitlyn to take her nap and Kelvin to play around in the house while waiting for other relatives to visit us. For many years, we do not go out to visit relatives during CNY, instead, they will come to my parents house for lunch/dinner as well as gambling.

Lastly, on this chinese new year, we wish everyone HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

It's bath time

You love to have your bath very very much, ever since you are baby. You will trick us by telling us you are dirty and need bath , bla bla....and the time you spend in taking your bath will be easily 10 mins. You will soak in the bath tub playing with the small pail, shampoo bottle, toothbrush, or anything that it's can be played in water.

My cheeky police boy

This morning you wake up happily and after you take your bath and change to the new shirt that mummy bought for you, and out of no where, you found the "spectacle" given by your friend during the school birthday party, and you put it on. And what's next? You asked mummy to take photo for you. Nowadays, you like to request mummy to take photo for you and after that you will request me to show you from the camera and you will tell me whether it's ok or not.

You like to tell me what you will be on the day. It's something like "me" on the day. So far your options will be policeman, fireman, astronaut, teacher and of course your own self. So for today, you told mummy you are policeman. In fact a cheeky policeman.

My new invention

You like to play with our handphone, and whenever you see us talking on the phone, you will insist us to pass you the phone. Sowhat is the end result? We deiced to get you a handphone. It's a real handphone though, the only different is it's an old cell phone without SIM card. Here u go...

With this hand phone,we can actually make you still on the sofa for about 5 mins, haha! And u see what you did to the phone? It's so amazed that no one ever taught you to put the phone that way, not sure where you pick up this funny trick, which is slot the phone between your ear and cap, a costless hand free huh, no need to invest in any hand phone accessories. LOL!

My naughty girl

I found that kiddo getting smarter and smarter by each generation. Recently i find that my 2 mths old little girl know how to trick me.Sometimes when she eat too full and has nothing better to do, she will put her hand into her mouth, enjoy her "KFC-Kaitlyn Finger Chip", so whenever i see her doing so, i will pull her hand out from her mouth and keep reminding her that she CANNOT do so. Yesterday night, i noticed that, she DIDN'T put her hand into her mouth anymore...bravo!! But...guess what she do? She sticks her tongue out and touches her hand. So means, at the end, she still get to enjoy her "KFC". Hmm...is this because i am breastfeeding her and she inherit all the cheekiness from me? LOL! (clap clap to mummy!! BRAVO!)

I love veggie

For whatever reason, you love cauliflower and broccoli very much. However, we need to steam the veggie real soft for you so that you will enjoy it. Look, this is how you enjoy your cauliflower.I used to steam cauliflower, broccoli , french beans and carrot for you to bring to school before the arrival of mei mei. However, ever since the arrival of mei mei, every morning, mummy is just like fire fighting, no time to prepare any food for you to bring to school. I know i know, this is just my excuse to be lazy, mummy will try my best to wake up a bit earlier and prepare something for you to bring along to school.

I do enjoy looking at you eating those veggie.Whenever you see veggie on dining table, you will sure ask us to let you have a try on them. Of course, if it's spicy, we will not let you try on it, still too early to let you try on spicy food. Usually most kids prefer meat over veggie, but for your case, it's the other way round. You dislike meat, like mother like son huh!

Bye Bye Blocked nose

After almost 2 weeks with blocked nose, finally, our little one Kaitlyn says Bye Bye to this unwanted friend. However, we still let her wear 2 layers of clothes at nite, one short and one long sleeve, just to keep her warm. And on top of that, mom reminded me that i used to use nappy to wrap around Kelvin's tummy when he's small, so i do the same thing for Kaitlyn.

And 2 days ago when we dropped both kids to school, the wind is quite strong and teacher Margaret said it's better to let Kaitlyn wear a cap, and the next day when Kelvin see Kaitlyn wearing cap, he asked for his too. Like brother like sister huh!

I Love u, u Love me! 兄妹情深

Today, when mummy went to pick both of you up from nursery, teacher Mynar told mummy that you and Shaneeka went to baby's room in the afternoon. You pat mei mei by putting your face to her face and Shaneeka sees you doing so, she wanted to do so too. However, you refuse to let Shaneeka do so and you told her that "this is my mei mei, you cannot!" LOL! Teacher Mynar said she can't stop laughing and later she teaches Shaneeka to pat mei mei by touching mei mei's leg gently.

Hmm, looks like you are really a big kor kor, know how to protect your mei mei! I hope you will keep protecting your mei mei such a way.

Note to mei mei: You are soooo sooo lucky to have such a good kor kor. You must love your kor kor and don't bully him, ok!
